Q: Which trim kit would go with this microwave?
A: I'm glad you asked! We actually have two "7227" models - a countertop model and a model that can accept a built-in trim kit. The PES7227SLSS is our countertop model and will not accept a trim kit. The PEB7227SLSS is the built-in model when you use trim kit JX7227SLSS (27" cabinets) or JX7230SLSS (30" cabinets). If you're buildign this in you'll want to look at the PEB7227 models. A: I have figured out the answer to my question above. The LG microwave, model LMC 2075, fits perfectly into my 14 year old trim kit GE JX 1830. It looks like it was made for it! Be sure to retrieve the left side vent piece which is screwed onto the old microwave (part of the trim kit). This piece also screws perfectly onto the Left side of the LG microwave. If someone had told me this, it would have saved me from hours of searching and talking with Best Buy salesmen and chatting online. I do hope my response will be added to the question and answers online.

Q: What is F3 on and keeps buzzing?
A: Hi - Fault codes are programmed in all microwave oven controls. These codes help our technicians quickly diagnose issues with the microwave oven. In the event that the electronic control displays a fault code, a trained Service Technician should be called to diagnose and correct the issue. F3= Shorted touch pad panel. Sometimes shutting off the circuit breaker that the microwave oven is connected to for 30 seconds will clear the fault code; however, there are some cases when further service may be required.
