- A: AnswerHello Mel - Thank you for this excellent question. We would love to share more about the features of this outstanding dishwasher. The vent for this model is what we call a "hidden vent." This is located on the inside of the door to prevent steam from damaging surrounding cabinets or countertops. Water is pulled in to the vent and condenses back into water into the door and drains back into the main tub. We hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions. - JB

New dishwasher
So far, so good. Looks nice in the kitchen (got it to match the oven and microwave) and holds a lot. Love that we can run a half load, although we haven't yet. Isn't super quiet but isn't terribly loud either, and we usually run it overnight anyways.

flop dishwasher
Not expecting my 2022 model dishwasher to be sub par at best to the one it replaced... The rack shelving is now so wobbly and barely fits in the tracks to slide in/out for daily use. It also doesn't accommodate plates/pasta bowls/salad bowls due to the wire placement of the rack. The biggest thing that is bothersome is the second time we have used it the dishwasher tab.... which was the most expensive cascade platinum that the dishwasher recommended didn't come out of the compartment when it was supposed to (guessing) because it left residue ALL over everything on the bottom rack causing me to have to re-wash the dishes... isn't that the point of the dishwasher.... to wash your dishes? Just asking for a friend here? Paying almost $900, I'm debating ripping it out and taking it back and letting GE know they have lost a lifelong customer.
