    Ghost Rider
When a motorcycle-riding stuntman offers his soul to Mephistopheles in order to save the life of the one he loves most, he is forced to play host to a powerful supernatural entity whose flaming skull visage strikes fear into the heart of his enemies in this feature-film version of the long-running comic series. By day, Johnny Blaze (actor and comic-book devotee Nicolas Cage) is one of the world's best-known stuntmen, but when the sun goes down and he is in the presence of evil, the death-defying daredevil bursts into flames to become the indestructible, motorcycle-riding antihero known to the world as the Ghost Rider. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Sell you soul to the devil? Bad idea!

4 of 5 stars for the Ghost Rider. I do recommend this movie! First rule of being in a movie: Never sell your soul to the devil! It never works out. In this Marvel comic made into a feature movie, we follow motorcycle daredevil Johnny Blaze who does sell his soul to make his father healthy again. When the devil comes knocking we learn of the legend of the Ghost Rider; the agents who collect debts (souls) on behalf of the devil. We meet a cowboy who we later learn is also a Ghost Rider. Together they battle an evil being who is attempting to steal souls owed to the devil. An interesting story, interesting characters. Well acted, well photographed and great special effects! My favorite scene is the horse riding cowboy aside Johnny Blaze on his motorcycle both moving thru the desert at night leaving a trail of fire. This is one movie in which I like Nicolas Cage. This is a solid movie that I do recommend!

I wish I could give this 0 stars. I went in hoping to be entertained by a fun comic book movie. I even bought and enjoy Daredevil, to give you an idea of where my standards for comic book movies lie. This movie was horrendous. Nick Cage is in true form with his patented "Dear Lord I'm a terrible actor and I don't know why they continue to allow me in movies" performance. For a supposedly big-budget comic book movie, the special effects were less than stellar. Think pre-Terminator 2 graphics. The fight scenes, which should have been awesome (demon-possessed superhero against elemental satanic underlings), lasted a combined 6 minutes (I don't think I'm exaggerating there...) and featured some of the most awful one-liners to grace the screen since the 70s. At least Eva Mendes is an attractive distraction when she stumbles onto the screen.

      A fun popcorn movie

This movie is a pretty good flick if all you are looking to do is sit down and watch a rather exciting movie. If you were a fan of daredevil you will most likely enjoy this one as it is from the same writer/director. Regardless of how you feel about the movie itself, the transfer of this movie is amazing. With only a few minor exceptions, this movie looks and sounds as good as a blu-ray can. It also has a ton of special features. They managed to fit almost all of the features from the two disc DVD set. The only thing missing is a featurette on the origin of Ghost rider and some animatics. However, what they have included is presented in 1080p, so the loss is no big deal.

Ghost Rider runs out of fuel...

I was so excited when I saw the preview to this movie. Nic Cage, blazin' motorcycle, making a deal with the devil - what could go wrong? A lot can go wrong in an hour and a half...The preview showed some funny parts. The movie didn't have many more. The story line was predictable and for a Marvel comic didn't really stack up. And although I am a fan of computer graphics, the burning skull was just cheesy (and the voice was even worse). Some of my friends liked the movie...I'll agree to disagree. I bought it without seeing it first, should have invested elsewhere. Buy National Treasure (#1) or Face/Off instead.

      Surprisingly Good

Had this movie been done 10 years ago, when he was in the Gone in 60 Seconds age, then perfect. unfortunately he looks aged, while his hairpiece doesn't. Sorry, but he didn't seem believable in the role. I generally like Nick Cage, Face/Off is a great choice, but this film didn't seem to mesh with him. Overall, the movie itself wasn't a pleasant surprise, though i didn't think it was anywhere near the best comic book movies. It is entertaining and worth watching though. A good fun movie is always a good thing. Buy or rent depending on the price.

THIS is Ghost Rider. Ok, so Nicholas Cage is a bit over the top as Johnny Blaze and the story is kind of crazy, but THIS is Ghost Rider. The Bike, The chains, the overall craziness of it all. If I could make a threequell to this series it would be Nic Cage, Gabriel Luna and probably someone like Jared Leto as Danny Ketch in an all out knock down Ghost Rider free for all! If you're wondering who the heck Ghost Rider is....Start here.

Nic Cage as himself with a flaming skull

There's far worse things they could've done with this character, but they still had a ways to go before they got him right. While I didn't care for cheesy moment or the finger pointing or the "yee-ha!", all in all, it's not a bad movie. The story flowed pretty nicely and the special effects were fantastic. If they make a second GR movie, I'm not so sure they need a reboot like with Hulk, but there has been more than one Rider they could choose from to continue the story.

      Not worth the purchase

So I watched this movie thinking that it may be good. The effects were kind of cool, they were not spiderman cool, or transformers cool, but okay. The story however was full of whys. Why this? Why that. Unless you're a fan of the comic books (which I'm not), some of the things just does not make sense. They talked about him capturing the devil's escapees, but there were no mention of any of the things he fought having escaped. Don't buy this, just rent it.
