Really enjoying so far
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent quality for the price. Our old Toshiba died on us unexpectedly and we needed a new tv asap for the holidays. After reading reviews on rtings and various other sites I picked up this unit. My expectations were exceeded right as soon as we set it up. Picture quality needed very little calibration to get excellent quality and the built in Android TV software has been pretty responsive albeit more sluggish then our standalone 4K Onn streaming boxes. Gaming is great on this TV with no noticeable input lag while using both an Xbox Series X and a PS5. HDR brightness is not the best and from my limited experience so far does not make much difference in picture quality Built-in speakers are pretty bad but that is common among most flat screen sets nowadays.

Amazing value for the price!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first time I have ever purchased a Hisense Product and it works like a charm. It has great color accuracy, the remote is amazing, and has an easy setup. The included apps are a nice feature since I use most of them and the ease of access is amazing. Speakers are good, they don't sound like there is a tin can like other TVs in this price range. The integration with google assistant and amazon Alexa is very helpful since I can control the TV's basic features from anywhere in my house. It will work well with speakers and soundbars since it has e-arc support and has a variety of io on the back of the tv including 4 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, and ethernet. In conclusion, for the price that this tv is priced at, it is an amazing value and I would recommend anyone to buy it.

Good tv for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv is better than I thought it would be, this is my first Hisense tv. A bit over a month using it. It’s really bright. I’ve had a sharp, samsung, insignia, and lg tv in the past couple of years 3/4 of them are 4k. This tv is brighter than all. Giving it a 4 star because of the jutter between scenes is a little more noticeable than other TVs I had and I tried to fix it messing around with the setting for hours. But it’s still there, which is not a deal breaker for me. Considering I got this tv on clearance sale for $387. I got the 5 year warranty just in case also.

Decent picture, but screen went bad
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I took a chance on HiSense after seeing a number of good reviews of TV online. I typically buy SamSungs but thought this might be worth a try. Setup was easy and I like the Android TV interface. The picture was good, although I'd never had a 4K TV so I had no basis for comparison. It recognized my soundbar automatically although the volume control annoyingly would adjust both the TV and soundbar volumes - so every time I adjusted the volume I'd see the volume bar on the TV itself even thought it wasn't using the TV speakers. Annoying but not a huge deal. The picture settings were very confusing - it would automatically choose picture mode based on the content and would sometimes 'glitch' and bounce back and forth between modes. I could turn off this feature, but then you had to manually adjust the mode. The different backlight local dimming features were confusing too - I could never figure out if/when to turn on/off. Not something I wanted to spend too much time with. The biggest picture issue I noticed was when the screen went black, I noticed several whitish 'blotches' on the screen. Those apparently were due to too much backlight or something. More crap to adjust and deal with. All that said, the picture - once you got it set up properly - was pretty good. However, after using the TV for a couple months, there suddenly appeared a solid white/blue line in the bottom-middle of the screen (see attached photo). This appeared on every app, the menu and everything else - if the TV was on it was there. I tried a number of things to 'fix' (turn on/off, adjust settings, factory reset, etc.) but from everything I read online, this indicated bad hardware. Luckily I was still within the return window so I returned it and ended up getting a Samsung, which I'm loving so far. Everything on the Samsung is great - no issues at all. Suffice it to say, I will not be getting another HiSense. I will stick to Samsung.

A great budget TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very impressed with this TV. It offers great picture quality and surprisingly good sound. The only issue (and its a small one) is the TV cannot run the same android apps as the Hisense U7G. I figure this is due to a slower processor and less memory.

Q: QuestionThe greatest question I have is: Why so expensive?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Asked by Ashk2021.
- A:Answer If you take it to account the features of this set, it really is not that expensive. Quantum LED. Full array LED backlighting. Local dimming (60 zones). Dolby Vision HDR. 4 HDMI inputs (1 ARC). Android TV (some prefer other systems like ROKU or others, but personally I like the Android interface). Already has the most popular streaming apps installed and has the Play Store library for additional apps. Built in voice assistant. Bluetooth. I was actually a little skeptical, because of the low price, given the specs of the TV. But I was blown away by the performance of the set. To get the features and performance in a more established, mainstream brand, you will pay much, much more. I decided to give this set a shot, since I have been an owner of a 49" Hisense 4K smart TV since 2018 that I have in my bedroom. So when my 2year old 65" Android 4K TV (of another brand from another retailer) in the living room crapped out, I shopped around for a replacement in the sub $1000 range. And I have not been disappointed. You'd have to spend twice as much in other brands to get a comparable set.

Q: QuestionIs there any difference in performance between the Roku model vs the Android set?
Asked by sl0601.
- A:Answer The Hisense U6G and the Hisense U6GR are very similar TVs because they sit alongside each other in the 2021 Hisense ULED lineup. Picture quality is similar because they each have a VA panel with a high contrast ratio. Local dimming is decent on both, but it's slightly better on the U6GR because there's less blooming. The U6GR has a few more features, like VRR and eARC support, which the U6G doesn't have, but the U6G has better performance in a few areas, like its response time and out-of-the-box accuracy, and it doesn't have any issues upscaling 480p content. The U6G also uses Android TV, while the U6GR has Roku TV, and the U6G supports Bluetooth, which the U6GR doesn't.
