Q: Does this humidifier require filter?
A: does NOT require a filter
A: Having the same problem with mine this year ?
Q: If placed directly onto a carpeted floor does it get the rug wet
A: Thank you for your inquiry Rick. This should not happen. We would advise getting a hygrometer to make sure the humidity in the room does not increase too much, and we would advise making sure there is plenty of circulation around the unit by making sure it is not near other furniture. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact our consumer relations team by emailing us at [email protected]. Thank you.
A: The light that runs up the center to show the water level can be turned off. The small horizontal lights that show how strong you have the blower on, cannot. They are very small and can be covered with a piece dark tape, but I just covered them with a swipe of a black sharpie.
A: If it was raining outside, that shouldn't matter unless you are operating the unit outside, WHICH YOU SHOULD NOT BE DOING for obvious reasons!! I'm not sure if you shorted the unit out because it was leaking likely from the base.. but you can try letting it dry out and then fixing the source of the leak. For me, it was at the nebulizer where it interfaces with the base of the unit, and this video shows you how to fix it. But if your motor is shorted by water getting into it, I can't help you there! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsY9TAhSUwg
Q: can we use this in the winter too?
A: Yes, you can use it on winter season too.
A: The unit is made in China. I used mine once but not a fan of this one should hade spent the extra and did some research
