Q: what size or type light bulb fits under the Hotpoint microwave.
A: Your microwave uses 2 incandescent 40W bulbs. The part number is WB25X10030 if you'd like to purchase it from GE Parts. They can be reached by calling 1-877-959-8688 M-F 9:00-7:00 EST.
A: you need to select the amount of time to cook first..either express (express times have the border around them only 1-6) or time cook button which you select any amount of time- and then select the power level. default is set to 10 so you just select whatever level you want to change it to
A: Hi coupe1942, thanks for your question! We're finding that your older model is a countertop/optional built in model. An over the range microwave would not make for a good replacement as they have different installation styles. The model that would make for the best replacement would be the following: PEM31SFSS. It does look like you will need to alter your cutout space a bit. So we would recommend reaching out to a cabinet professional and showing them the cutout dimensions for this unit. Those cutout dimensions can be found in the Quick Specs of this new model. If you're wanting to build this unit into surrounding cabinetry, these are the two trim kits that are associated with this unit: JX827SFSS and JX830SFSS. We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael

Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy! - NOTE: When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. Q: Will this fit where my dead Hotpoint Countersaver Plus fits, please?
A: Google your old model and write down the dimensions and do the same on the Hotpoint. As long as the dimensions are the same or less it will fit.
