PowerPoint - Microsoft 365 can be accessed online using your existing or new account. Google has its own suite of similar apps (Google Docs (similar to Word) Google Sheets (similar to Excel), etc. These apps are free and mirror the Microsoft alternatives. The Chromebook arrives with a power cord/adapter and quick start guide. Simply enter your Google/GMAIL password or register for a free Google account and you're ready to access all possibilities.

A: Buy an inexpensive Chromebook that has the biggest screen you can afford if you want a good sized screen to watch your movies on (Best Buy sells an ASUS Chromebook with a 17 inch screen, open box excellent with free shipping for $231). At the SAME time buy an external DVD/CD player from Best Buy for about $20 to $30 (LG is good brand). HP is rolling out units labeled "Chromebook Plus", but some existing models meeting the hardware requirements will also support the more robust software, AI capabilities, and more. The hardware requirements for Chromebook Plus are: Processor - Intel i3 or higher, or AMD Ryzen 7000 series and higher. RAM - 8GB or more, Storage: 128GB or more, and an IPS display of 1080P resolution. Going forward, there will be two classifications for any Chrome OS device: a normal Chromebook or a Chromebook Plus.
