HP - LaserJet Pro MFP M130nw Wireless Black-and-White All-In-One Laser Printer - White

I wanted a laser printer I could put inside my cabinet. After looking at numerous printers that didn’t fit this one fit perfect!

This is my first Laser Printer and it works great for me.

After growing tired of forking over more & more money for expensive ink cartridges. I️ researched laser printers. This HP was the same price as many ink jet printers. Very easy to set up. Have only had it for a few weeks & it is working well. Print jobs look great & so far has been reliable.

Needed a small printer to place in a compact area. Such an easy set up too. Very happy with my purchase.

So reliable printer and it is a cost effective laser printer.

I have been using this printer for a few weeks now without any issues. However, it took about four hours to get the printer up and running properly. Initially, I elected to download the software from the CD that came with the printer instead of selecting "Download" the most current software version from the internet. After four hours of trying to resolve communication issues between the printer and my desktop computer that uses the Windows 10 operating system, I decided to start all over. I removed all the HP printer software from my computer that I downloaded from the CD. I then went to the HP online site and downloaded the appropriate software; then everything worked without issues. On the downside, I was not provided an option to load the software to a drive other than "C". Also, HP included a lot of other software with the download that I do not think is needed and which takes up precious room on the "C" drive. After some indepth research I still cannot determine out of the eight HP software packages downloaded which ones can be eliminated and still have the printer function properly. I was also shocked to discover a refill black ink cartridge cost around $65.

First off a huge improvement over ink jet. So annoyed when starting a ink jet after sat for a while. Sounds like a cat hacking up a hair ball and takes over 3.5 minutes before page printed. Annoying as can be. The ink jet shoots out print in like 3 seconds. It is out before I can walk to printer. Only reason I gave 4 stars is that after loading and linking to wifi network, I had a power outage for over 5 hours. It did not remember the settings had to do again. A glitch, not sure. Just hope it does not do that each time extended power out. Otherwise very happy with this printer.

When it comes to printers UP is the king. Specially LaserJet. I still have a color nnetwork LaserJet one I purchased 12 years ago with the trial cartridges that came with it. The black is finally low after all this time. Now the newer ones have less yeald per cartridge then the older models but they are worth every penny. LaserJet tones is powder and you don't have to worry about cartridges drying out like the inkjet. This all in one is perfect for home use and black & white is good enough these days. No need to print pictures since you can send to shutterfly or others for pennies to be printed and shipped to anyone.
