Terrible picture - especially at night
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera's image quality is seriously lacking for its price. For $100, go with a different camera. I returned and went with the Pioneer ND-BC8 for the same price. Attached are comparisons of the two cameras at night.

So far, so good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pleased with the images but do not like that the 4 LED lights STAY ON CONSTANTLY when the car is on. Other drivers have pulled up besides me telling me it's lit (day & night). Wondering if they can be set to only come on when the car is in reverse?

Installed on 2011 Malibu with Kenwood Stereo
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera was installed on a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu using a Kenwood stereo and works great. Purchased as an open box item but works as described. There was some wiring to be completed but this was not too difficult.

Back up cam
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.New to this style of car, so I figured a back up camera would be a good idea. I have no complaints.

Great backup camera for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good backup camera for the price. I got it on sale for $100. The lines do move when the steering wheel is turned but there is a slight lag. There is very good clarity to the camera. The backup camera itself has led lights around it that light up when in reverse. The quality is great during the day time when the sun is out. There is no beeping if you are coming into contact with an object.

I Beam Back Up Camera
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for something universal that looked good on the car. Fits directly behind the license plate. Recommend removing license plate frame if you’re looking to get the camera aimed more to the ground. Otherwise with the frame in place you get a good downward angle to see everything behind you. Very clear picture. Active parking lines when backing and turning. Wife absolutely loves it since her car was built prior to backup cameras being nearly standard equipment now and the fact that her car has tons of blind spots. Definitely recommend

Q: QuestionI bought this mostly to see how close objects are behind but it is hard to tell. Does anyone have suggestions on how to determine how close objects are?
Asked by Manowar.
- A:Answer Place a bucket behind your car and see where the red hash lines match the bucket edge and measure the distance from the bucket to rear bumper.

Q: QuestionAre the camera led lights supposed to be on all the time, or just when the vehicle is in reverse? Seems odd mine are on constant...
Asked by BethN.
- A:Answer The Best Buy installer said the lights will stay on if it’s wired for the camera button on the head unit but it can also be wired so the lights only come on in reverse (in which case the camera button will not work).
Answered by Rockford
Q: QuestionDoes this include the cable to connect to your head unit? How long is the cable?
Asked by Cable.
- A:Answer yes. went from rear plate - through trunk, straight under floor console on a Mustang, with length to spare.

Q: QuestionDoes the active parking lines work with all car make and models, or this feature works just for the new cars?
Asked by LegionWarrior.
- A:Answer I got it put on our 2006 Subaru Impreza… it’s not the best camera but it works. The lines aren’t fixed. They move with the vehicle but it’s basic. No sounds or anything. Just a camera with semi decent lines telling you where to go. We also had a newer touch screen put in that it hooked up to when u put the car in reverse so a separate camera wasn’t needed. Ask the geek squad at your BB and they will explain every thing. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionI have a Jeep Wrangler 2017. The License plate is on one the drivers side. Can this be still installed and calibrated properly ?
Asked by Jaywrangler.
- A:Answer It is better to center the camera on the bumper. I had it on my license plate and even with calibration it is still off centered
