Q: Where is this refrigerator made?

A: Wherever it was made the design was not properly tested. The magnetic strips do not hold the doors closed. When you open and close the refrigerator door, no matter how gently, the freezer door pops open. I couldn't figure out what was going on right away. Items in the freezer would be frosted, the ice cream would be soft one day and not the next. Now I am noticing that the crisper drawer rails are bending with the drawer only half full. The drawer does not stay on the rails now. I have only owned this refrigerator for approximately 3 months.

Q: Can the top be used as a refrigerator and the bottom as a freezer?

A: Yes, but you need to install it upside down. :)

Q: Do the doors come off of this refrigerator to get it through a door opening? If so, what is the depth of the fridge without the doors attached?

A: Yes, the doors do come off this 21 cf insignia fridge and the depth with out them is 29" Refrigerator NS-RTM21SS7

Q: Does this refrigerator have an ice-maker?

A: It is optional, I did not want it

Q: When pulling open the refrigerator door sometimes it pulls the whole refrigerator forward or makes the refrigerator crooked. Is there a way to stop it from pulling forward or moving so easily?

A: The only time that happens with mine is if I shut either the frig or freezer door then immediately try to open it up. If I wait just 3 to 4 seconds it doesn't happen.

Q: How do I get the styrofoam packing our from behind shelves? I have tried to lift out the shelves but the styrofoam won’t budge enough for the back of the shelf to come out.

A: I was finally able to lift the styrofoam enough to lift one side at a time of the shelves to get them out. The delivery people left ours in the box, they did not unpack a thing.

Q: Is this a garage ready refrigerator?

A: I have mine in the garage and it is working great. Hope this helps.

Q: Hello, we are looking to put this in our garage. Would it be ok to keep it there? We live in South Florida

A: I live in Central florida (Melbourne Area) and I put my fridge in the garage and have since 2011
