Q: i have a headphone-microphone combination device. I have been told I need a "TRRS" adaptor. Is this one?

A: No, this adapter won't work for you.

Q: I own a Yamaha P 125. There are two headphones jacks in the front of the piano. I have a hyperx headset, so if I use the adapter with this will it work in both ears or only 1?

A: Yes it should allow sound out of both ears as it is a stereo jack (has the 2 black lines on the male tip). I use mine with a pair of stereo headphones plugged into a stereo receiver. Q: Will this 3-pole stereo adapter work with a set of wired ear buds that have a 3.5 mm 4-pole male plug? It seems almost all of the wired ear bud headphones are designed for cell phones and are 4-pole plugs. It seems there might be a ground issue.

A: I have only used it in monaural mode, but suspect it will not work for stereo.

A: This is a stereo jack adapter. Which means it plays in both ears. The way to tell if it is or not is to look at the tip and you'll see two black rings just below the tip. Those are the contact points that produce the stereo sound. A single ring is mono or just one side.
