A: When they say nonpolarized it is because the connector that plugs into your device can go in either way, rounded on both sides. Flip it over & plug it in & it still works just fine. If this is what your device needs then this cord is for you. Some devices require polarized connectors where it is rounded on one side and squared off on the other. Look at your device & see what "style" it needs, polarized or nonpolarized, it will only take one "style".

A: Yes. That was exactly what I bought it for. Somehow lost the cord for my Samsung led smart tv when I moved, so I bought this one and it works perfectly

Q: Will this power cord work on the Insignia DVD player Model NS-DVD1
A: there are 3 universal power adapters on the market...and a bunch of proprietary ones. As for the universal adapeters, if this cord fits your device, it will work. The 3 universal are non-polarized 2 prong (like this one), poloarized 2 prong...this one has a rounded edge on one side, and a square edge on the other, and will only fit one way into your device, and lastly a grounded universal...similar to what you see on computers. Hopefully this helps you out :)
