RF Modulator
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All you can say is ...it works...we use it to split off of a direct tv receiver to a kitchen TV on the other end of the house...it's too far to run an HDMI cable and we really don't need 2 receivers for this purpose. Simple plug and play set up.

Does what I need it to do.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this & an A/B/C switch to connect incompatible video equipment......an old CRT TV, a VHS VCR, a DVD player and a cable box. Once I got the mismatched In/Out jacks figured out it all worked like a charm. Very happy.

Q: QuestionDoes the Insignia RF modulator output an NTSC (analog) signal to the coaxial cable? Thanks.
Asked by Sean.
- A:Answer I bought this to hook up to my Vizio TV. The RF modulator did not work for me. The cable system is analog. I might have been doing something wrong, but I followed the instructions, tried channel 3 and 4, tried all the different inputs on the tv, and every connection with the RCA cords. Still could not get it to work.

Q: QuestionMy cable company forced me to "upgrade" my old DVR, but the new DVR is apparently not compatible with my old TV. The tech suggested I try an RF modulator. How exactly do I hook this up then?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I'm stuck on step 1. My cable box is the source component and it only has HDMI. My old TV does not have HDMI. Am I plugging in the RF modulator to one of the other TV inputs having red/white/yellow input?

Q: QuestionCan I use this to connect wii to a newer tv

Q: QuestionI have an "old" vizio tv. The coax antenna adapter was damaged and could not use the antenna. However, i could still use the tv using the rca adapters. My question is, can i use the rf modulator to connect the tv antenna and output to the rca adapter?
Asked by Dannyffz.
- A:Answer No because this is an RCa to coax converter. You would need a coax to RCA converter to do what you want.

Q: QuestionCan I pick up free t.v. stations with this converter?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer This is not a converter, rather it is a way to have accessories connected to an older model TV with no AV jacks.

Q: QuestionI am attempting to connect a satellite box in an RV to a bedroom Insignia TV via coaxial cable. All connections made and bedroom TV only sees antenna signal, no satellite. What is proper connection and how do I get channel 3 or 4?
Asked by Mike.
- A:Answer Try to run a channel scan on your TV or hook up your Satellite box to one of the HDMI inputs on the TV.

Q: QuestionIs this unit compatible with a Comcast (PA PACEUDTA) box. The Comcast box takes the signal from the wall outlet and converts it to RF (channel 3 or 4) and then feeds it into the normal RF input to the TV? I plan to use this device between box and TV.
Asked by Nighthawk2u.
- A:Answer Hi, Thank you for your interest on our NS-HZ308 RF modulator!. I would like to begin by clarifying that, by the description of the setup you have at home, this device would be of no use for you, as your TV is most likely capable of receiving RF signals via Coaxial cable. Also take in consideration that this adapter takes the digital signal and outputs it as RF, working exactly in the opposite direction that you suggested. Hope this information was of any use. We are here for you!. Alex C.- Insignia support
