Fastest/ hottest cpu! Beast mode
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Core i9-14900K has 36 MB of L3 cache and operates at 3.2 GHz by default, but can boost up to 6 GHz, depending on the workload and setup. Intel® Core™ i9-14900K desktop processor. Featuring Intel Thermal Velocity Boost, Intel® Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 Frequency, PCIe 5.0 & 4.0 support, DDR5 and DDR4 support, unlocked Intel® Core™ i9 desktop processors are optimized for enthusiast gamers and serious creators to help deliver high performance. Very nice chip I love it really quick for my gaming needs never seems have any issues in workloads or anything I come to toss its way… power hungry chip an gets hot… so keep in mind if your looking into buying this chip I would recommend at least 360 aio or custom loops. Now I did have a 240 aio first when bought the chip but honestly held up against this beast of a chip but I upgraded my cooling I didn’t want to degrade my chip or anything just rather be on the save side…. I really would recommend this to everyone if you’re looking for a chip that has it all…. Plus last good 5-10 years without needs of upgrading to the core ultra chips coming out later this year intels next gen. With a chip with these stats no need think about upgrading just yet enjoy this chip. I have the i9-14900k 4080 super ti gpu 64gb 6400 ddr5 Rog Maximus mobo best setup I have ever had in I been pc building for least 4 years….

Amazing Processor better in every way to AMD
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing Processor, all runs super fast and with the right heatsink is quiet. Gamers enjoy smooth and fast games. I love the performance and the price was the right one. Also I can upgrade from aa 12900k and even in the future as it uses the same motherboard as the 14900k.

BEAST for productivity but does run hot
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am using the 13900k for video editing in Premiere Pro and let me tell you that this chip is an absolute beast! It does run pretty hot at stock clocks. I have it mounted with a pressure plate I got from Amazon, Deepcool LS720 AIO to cool it in an NZXT H7 Flow Case with 140mm fans all over (Except the 360 AIO which has 3-120mm fans on the radiator). Here are my temps: Idles: 30C 2 hours of rendering: 85C (peak at 90C but usually doesn't stay there for long). Also my office tends to stay in the 73F-75F range, so a bit warm. The ONLY time i've ever thermal throttle'd (100C) is when I was using Prime95 to simply stress test it. But seeing that I do not thermal throttle during editing videos i will not undervolt it. If you game, you'll obviously get lower temps since gaming doesn't utilize as much CPU power compared to productivity softwares. Bottom line, i'm not sure why one would need the 13900k UNLESS it was for productivity; but it's an investment work wise!

Runs hot but well
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This cpu runs notoriously hot but it’s an absolute killer in performance. I hit just shy of 40k in Cinebench with the stock power configuration. Its cooled with an H100i 240mm cpu cooler with fans in a push pull configuration and pump on the highest speed. While it works, I will soon be upgrading to a 360mm H150i for best results. Overall I’m impressed. With games that are heavily CPU oriented, i.e. Escape From Tarkov, this upgrade has increased my 4k frames and decreased frame latency tremendously!

Love it but runs very hot
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the i9, coming from N i7 9th gen its a huge step up in multi tasking, creating content, and gaming. BUT make sure you have adequate cooling. I have 9 fans and a corsair h150 elite lcd and it keeps it cool but even in standby it runs hotter than my i7 got under heavy loads. Invest in this and cooling.

Great Chip for the money! (AIO Required)
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Chip for the money! Intel's 13th Gen CPU's are great for the money (I paid $551 with Best Buy Total) and it is a BEAST! Do have a good cooler for it though, I have a Corsair H150i Elite Capellix (360mm AIO) and the chip will pull 300+ Watts! CRAZY! but it runs everything I need it to!

Q: QuestionWhat temps do you get while gaming?
Asked by Faspro.
- A:Answer This will depend on your cooling and case setup. With a front/side mounted AIO (280/360) expect to see temps in the mid 50s while gaming. Games that utilize more cores may result in higher temps. Chip quality will also vary. I would not recommend anything less than a DeepCool AK620, Dark Rock Pro 4 or NH D15 air cooler (capable of handling up to 250w) if you are going with air cooling.

Q: QuestionI'm planning on picking up one of these to go with my kracken 360 elite. Is that a suitable cooler for this top tier cpu? I assume my z790 edge ti max wifi can support the 13900k or will I have to do stuff with bios? (currently running a 12700k)
Asked by Mike.
- A:Answer Greetings from the Intel team. Thank you for your question. Even though the Kraken Elite 360 is compatible with the processor socket, reaching the manufacturer to ensure that the Kraken Elite 360 meets or exceeds the TDP recommendation for the Intel® Core™ i9-13900K processor is recommended. The TDP for Intel Processors of the 12th generation (and higher generation) is called Processor Base Power and can be located under CPU Specifications. Intel® 600 Series and Intel® 700 Series chipset-based motherboards require a BIOS update to boot the Intel® Core™ desktop processors (13th and 14th gen). Intel® recommends updating the BIOS on systems for compatibility before updating your Intel® Core™ desktop processors. Intel® 600 Series and Intel® 700 Series may require a BIOS update when upgrading between Intel® Core™ Desktop Processors 12th, 13th, or 14th gen. Q: Questioncan u use four sticks of ram?
Asked by effy.
- A:Answer All DDR5 are not designed to run 4 sticks XMP, But you can definately install ram at normal speed. For examply i have corsair domintor rgb 4 sticks that are 6200 mt/s when i install 4 sticks without xmp they rum 4800 mt/s which is still super fast compared to ddr4, but if i want the full speed 6200 MT/s i will only be able to install 2 sticks and there's a certain way to install them, it should be marked on the motherboard, You'd ask why bother? I'll install 2 sticks and run my pc. Well of course you can but to take full advantage of dual channel you will need to install one stick of RAM in slot two (A2) and the second stick in slot four (B2)
