Q: Does this cooktop make a lot of beeping sounds? Can those sounds be quieted or muted?
A: I'm my experience, No. This cooktop is annoying with the sounds it makes. The beep is too loud. It occurs almost every time you press something. What this company needs is a volume option, and alternate beep sounds. (something more techy and simple The current beep sounds similar to a less intense smoke alarm sound.
A: I was told in store that Best Buy’s description was incorrect and that this model does, in fact, have stainless steel trim… so that is what I’m expecting… if it ever gets here.
Q: Can you add a down draft to the Jen air jic4536xs as a hood is not an option with my layout?
A: Yes. There are two manufacturers who make a pop-up downdraft fan that mounts in the countertop at the top of the cooktop. It requires some space, though. Kitchenaid and Broan.
