Synopsis
Intrepid young explorer Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson) traces a mysterious distress signal to a remote island that isn't on any map, and he embarks on a daring rescue mission while encountering a vast array of mythological creatures in this follow-up to 2008's Journey to the Center of the Earth. Joined by his new stepfather (Dwayne Johnson), an adventure-seeking helicopter pilot (Luis Guzman), and the pilot's headstrong daughter (Vanessa Hudgens), Sean navigates the crumbling stone corridors of Atlantis and comes face-to-face with bizarre life-forms while on a mission to track down his long-missing grandfather (Michael Caine). One of the best 3D experiences I've had yet!
A Great, fun adventure in 3D!
June 5, 2012As I said above, this movie must be seen in 3D to be fully enjoyed. The action sequences were great, the characters were enjoyable and the 3D effects were eye-popping fun.

What you expect
July 11, 2012This is a fun movie to watch, because the 3D is really good. Kids will enjoy this movie, too. But for adults, the plot is pretty lame and the acting is what you expect from the Rock. I recommend this movie IF all you want is some escapist fun 3D viewing.

I loved this movie! Great visuals, good plot and descent acting combined with some of the best 3D I've seen on Blu Ray. Overall, it's a very entertaining experience, though it was a bit too short. It also seemed to be a little too kid friendly at times. Nonetheless, this movie is a great addition to my 3D collection. Film Experience: 4 of 5 3D Experience: 5 of 5
