You can move the articulating arms of the mount left or right and get your TV situated perfectly if your studs aren't in the ideal location. The second difference is tool-less tilt, you need a wrench to adjust the PDX whereas you only need to move a lever on PMX. A: Mountain Girl, The PDX680 has a wall plate that can accommodate 24" stud spacing. The PDX650's wall plate can accommodate 18" spacing at the most.
