Kinsa - Smart Ear Thermometer - Blue

The thermometer takes a 1 sec reading. I even took my 3 yr old's temp while she was sleeping! The downloaded app is a useful perk. When bluetooth is enabled, thermometer readings go to your smartphone. In the app, you are able to set up multiple profiles to hold history; i.e. different children. Also, you can select sickness symptoms to receive tips on how to feel better. Love this and worth the $32. Obviously this does not replace physicians or an ER visit, but this is good for worried parents that would love some immediate advice.

As a future mommy of 3, I know how hard it can be to have multiple sick kids in the household (including me) I was so happy to learn about the Kinsa smart digital thermometer and it’s free app to easily track everyone’s temperature at once. I’m an old school mom and have always relied on a rectal thermometer to take my kids temperature. I’ve always felt it gives you the most accurate reading. I was so happy to know that I was able to use the Kinsa thermometer rectally, orally and in the underarm. I decided to test both rectal and underarm readings and was impressed with the accuracy as there was only a -0.1 F difference between the two. My kids were also happy to take their temperature a different way! The app was also a great way to engage my kids while waiting for the reading. They were able to see their name on the screen and see bubbles pop while they waited. Their favorite part was playing doctor and listing all of their current symptoms and selecting them on the phone. The app was extremely easy to use and like I mentioned, even my kids were able to use it. My favorite part was able to create a unique profile for my girls and myself. Being that I’m currently pregnant, I’ve been extremely forgetful lately. The app made it easy for me to reference everyone’s past readings and also note any medications that were taken. I was extremely impressed by the additional resources the app provided, like common symptoms and how to treat common illnesses at home. I really enjoy using the thermometer for my kids and myself. I originally bought this thermometer to keep on hand to use with the kids I was nannying for, because regular thermometers were nearly impossible to use with a toddler. This thermometer is pretty easy to use, though occasionally there is a hiccup in its performance. The app is easy to sync up to and use, but it also totally not necessary to have in order to use the thermometer. I’ve also used this thermometer for personal use, as well as with my mother to keep an eye on her health. I would buy this model again, and I definitely recommend it.

The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because if I use it three time, it gives me three different readings. Otherwise, it is quicker then my old braun ear thermometer. I absolutely love the app and the ability to classify our family of 5s temperatures and symptoms. However, the tip is larger than the Braun so I don’t know about use on infants, but from toddler to adult, this family loves it.

after changing out the batteries, this thermometer is amazing! My son hates getting his temp checked and this made it so easy! gets accurate temps in literally one second! and if u use it with the app you can set up profiles for your family members and make notes about their symptoms to make it easier if you have to visit the doctor instead of trying to remember every little detail. also is has huge numbers and a led screen so u can check temps in the middle of the night with out having to disturb your sleeping fussy little one.

This little guy is great. It’s quick it’s accurate it’s easy to set up and the app is great too. Cool that you can see log and track temperature history.

We purchased this to replace a temporal thermometer because it seemed inaccurate. That is not the case with this one. It's fast, accurate and easy to use. The accompanying iPhone app is useful as it keeps track of temperature readings for your entire family, but it also keeps track of medications and other symptoms related to fever. I would recommend this for anybody looking for a reliable thermometer.
