Unexpected Benefit
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. For most of us a microwave is pretty basic. But there are many on the market that have the push button levers in the front that you use to open the door. Then you push the door closed. I appreciate the handle that KitchenAid designed. I often would get my finger nail caught on the body of the microwave if I was not careful pushing the lever that opens the door. It was rare but happened a few times over my life. There is no chance of this happening with my KitchenAid. All the features are all on point. I especially love the sensing function that automatically gauges how long to blast frozen entrees. The end of cycle alarm is very pleasing and unlike any I've heard in the past. Even my guests notice it. :)

Nice Microwave
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I really like this microwave, I got the convection one & door was as big as microwave & I bumped my head with it opening & closing, so exchanged it for this & this one much better. Door a few inches narrower than unit. It even has an extra shelf if you want to microwave more than one plate or item.

Q: QuestionThis model will replace a Magtag microwave of the same measurements which is not mounted to the wall but to the cabinet over it. Can this model be mounted using the cabinet above it? Is there a bracket or template for that kind of installation?
Asked by Chip.
- A:Answer This microwave is secured using a wall-mounted mounting plate that the bottom rear of this microwave sits on and two bolts that go through the bottom of cabinet above which secure it from the top. Yes, there is a template to use which will help you determine where any holes need to be drilled, etc. This article will show you illustrations so you can see how it is mounted. https://www.naturalhandyman.com/iip/infapplianceinstallation/infmicrowaveinstallation.html

Q: QuestionIs the height really 16.5 in? We only have 16 1/8.
Asked by Terri.
- A:Answer It is actually 17 inches when you allow for the built in venting fan (this is an "over the range microwave). Definitely will not work in smaller space.
