For most of us a microwave is pretty basic. But there are many on the market that have the push button levers in the front that you use to open the door. Then you push the door closed. I appreciate the handle that KitchenAid designed. I often would get my finger nail caught on the body of the microwave if I was not careful pushing the lever that opens the door. It was rare but happened a few times over my life. There is no chance of this happening with my KitchenAid. All the features are all on point. I especially love the sensing function that automatically gauges how long to blast frozen entrees. The end of cycle alarm is very pleasing and unlike any I've heard in the past. Even my guests notice it. :)
It’s the best buy for us. Our decision to get this brand of microwave is one of the best decisions we have taken lately. The size fits perfectly, the fan does not make as much noise as the one we used to have. Strongly recommended.
Pleased with the purchase. I was able to put it in by myself with instructions provided. It has performed well. It fits in well with current appliances. The feel of the door and the overall look shows the quality which was also reflected in the price. I think the saying goes you get what you pay for.
Finally new Kitchenaid Microwave and Oven Yes!! Have waited a long time for new appliances and am so pleased with them. The microwave has butter melt and soften, vegetable steam sensor and a very powerful fan to extract smoke and steam.
I bought this microwave because it was nice looking and was the right size and brand for my kitchen. The only complaint I have is that the fan that is supposed to suction the steam when cooking, is too soft. All the other microwaves I have had in the past suction all the steam. This one only suctions a little bit and the rest of the steam goes over the microwave and causes much condensation on the door and cabinets above it. That defeats the purpose of the fan option. If I had known this, I would never have purchased this one.
Quality microwave. Good size. It works well and is easy to use. I like how well it defrosts. I even like the sound it makes when the food is done cooking. Our last microwave beeped loudly and I was always trying to stop it before I had to hear the annoying beeping. This one is quieter and is more like a little tune rather than an obnoxious beep. I like that it has a handle instead of a push button for the door. The exhaust fan for the cooktop has several speeds which is nice. I like the display too. I'm glad we got a better one this time instead of a cheapo microwave like last time. There is definitely a difference.
A:AnswerThis microwave is secured using a wall-mounted mounting plate that the bottom rear of this microwave sits on and two bolts that go through the bottom of cabinet above which secure it from the top. Yes, there is a template to use which will help you determine where any holes need to be drilled, etc. This article will show you illustrations so you can see how it is mounted. https://www.naturalhandyman.com/iip/infapplianceinstallation/infmicrowaveinstallation.html
A:AnswerThere are vents on the top of the unit, along the front. As long as these are not obstructed by your cabinets, you do not need to vent this. The vents in the unit are not visible from the front, so you won't see them.
