Q: What is the Culinary Caddy utensil basket, and how does it provide convenience and organization?
A: The Culinary Caddy utensil basket is a convenient space in the lower rack of the dishwasher. It provides a designated spot for tall utensils like whisks and spatulas, as well as overflow silverware and small items that need to be secured for cleaning and drying. This organization helps keep the dishwasher neat and ensures that these items are properly cleaned and dried.
A: The Fan-enabled ProDry system combines a heating element and a fan to circulate hot air around the dishes after the wash cycle. This optimized drying performance ensures that the dishes are thoroughly dried. To activate this feature, users can select the ProDry™ option or the Extended ProDry™ option.
Q: What are the benefits of the Extended ProDry option, and when is it recommended to use it?
A: The Extended ProDry option extends the drying cycle by 15 minutes, ensuring that dishes are thoroughly dry. It is recommended for loads that need extra drying time, such as plastic items or cookware. This option is particularly useful in humid environments or during the rainy season.
A: The durable stainless steel interior of the KitchenAid dishwasher is preferred because it resists streaks, stains, and odors, making it easy to maintain and keep clean. Additionally, it retains heat, which helps improve the drying process of dishes.
A: The ProWash cycle utilizes sensors to measure soil levels throughout the wash cycle. Based on the soil level detected, it automatically adjusts the wash time and water temperature to optimize cleaning performance for both tough messes and lighter loads. This ensures efficient and effective cleaning for different types of dishes and soil levels.
Q: What is the purpose of the LED interior lighting, and how does it enhance the user experience?
A: The LED interior lighting illuminates the inside of the dishwasher when the door is open, providing clearer visibility for easy loading and unloading of dishes. This enhances the user experience by making it easier to see and place dishes in the dishwasher, ensuring that they are properly positioned for optimal cleaning.
Q: How does the Sani Rinse option contribute to the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the dishes?
A: The Sani Rinse option in the KitchenAid dishwasher eliminates food soil bacteria, ensuring the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the dishes. It sanitizes dishes and glassware in accordance with NSF International NSF/ANSI Standard 184 for Residential Dishwashers, meeting the requirements for soil removal and sanitization efficacy. The Sani Rinse indicator glows at the end of the cycle to confirm successful completion of the option.
Q: How do the top controls contribute to the overall design and aesthetics of the dishwasher?
A: The top controls of the KitchenAid dishwasher are tucked away on top of the dishwasher door, providing a clean and sleek look that complements various kitchen styles. The indicator light on the front of the door subtly changes colors to display the cycle progress, adding a touch of modern design to the appliance.

Fantastic dishwasher - much better than the similarly priced Bosh unit it replaced. It's slightly less quiet than the uber-quiet Bosh but better in every other way. I especially like the huge 3rd rack which holds a surprising number of sizeable items: Regular coffee cups and 12 oz drink glasware, small cereal bowls and a plethora of flatware, knives, spatulas, etc. The Bosh unit's 3rd rack is a joke by comparison with nearly unusable depth, low quality glides and flimsy overall feel. The Bosh's middle rack glides better but no where near the quality of the Kitchenaid's super glides. I love the huge bottom rack's hefty utensil caddy that spans the front-to-back of the washer with a quality handle. The Bosh, OTOH sports a ridiculously small super-cheap comically flimsy utensil rack that seems like it came from an off-brand $350 dishwasher. What were they thinking? The dual-sided interior lighting in the Kitchenaid is useful and a novel useful feature for us. I love the easily accessible 1-to-24 hour delay feature for off-peak washing. The Bosh unit had *NO DELAY CONTROLS* on the dishwasher itself, a major fail. To set a delay you'd have to dig down multiple layers in the phone app to access it, uber-inconvenient! The Bosh had a downward projector telling you what phase the wash was in but NO indicator of when the cycle was complete! The projector was weak and difficult to read on sautlilo tiles. The Kitchenaid, OTOH displays an easily visible led indicator - blue for wash, red for dry and white when complete - simple and effective. Finally, the wash quality and drying are top notch, the drying superior to the Bosh unit when in the ProDry mode. Overall, highly recommended

Thanks (again) to open box, we could get a dishwasher that is normally way out of our range! The top (3rd) rack is awesome! I normally just get what is recommended at Consumer Reports in my price range, but I didn't like the layout of the racks on that brand. This has been working great so far, and the racks are spaced and laid out perfectly for our purposes. And, again, that top rack is a dream. We just installed it, so I'll repost if there are any issues.
