When using the connectable feature, you now add enhanced features to your display, including weather data from the AccuWeather with detailed forecast information such as, hourly & daily temperatures, chance of precipitation, UV index & Air Quality, as well as additional forecast icons to keep you up to date to the weather to come. Add-on sensors available (sold separately) to enhance your system. NOTE: When using La Crosse View App, confirm that your mobile device is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network before you connect to your station. Some routers use 5 GHz frequency for media streaming and 2.4 GHz for everything else.

A: Ideally, the sensor should be mounted on the tallest object in your area. Avoid positioning it parallel or below eaves, rooflines, trees, or other objects that may obstruct wind readings. The maximum wireless transmission range to the station is up to 400ft (121m) in open air. Though sensor is battery operated (requires 3 AA), the solar panel assists batteries during daylight hours, so it is helpful if solar panel faces direct sunlight. You will need to mount the wind sensor in vertical position, but mounting bracket may be adjusted 180° angle for optimal positioning. You are correct that LTV-W3 (Glide sensor) is very similar to LTV series wind sensors (brackets are similar size) If mounting wind sensor's bracket, it would need to have a diameter of 1 inch to 1.18 inch (3 cm) and use U-bolt to secure. Anchor base for wind sensor mounting bracket should be fastened to flat surface with 4 screws to be secured.
