    Synopsis

    Ladyhawke
In medieval France, knight Rutger Hauer and lady fair Michelle Pfeiffer both run afoul of evil-bishop John Wood. Through the auspices of bishop's confessor Leo McKern, Hauer and Pfeiffer are placed under a curse. During the night, Hauer takes the form of a wolf, while Pfeiffer assumes the form of a hawk by day. The two lovers can only meet one another as humans at dawn and dusk. The only mortal in a position to rescue Hauer and Pfeiffer from their fate is nebbishy pickpocket Matthew Broderick, who acts as liaison between the lovers. With the help of the guilt-ridden McKern--and a convenient solar eclipse--Broderick endeavors to set things aright. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

      DVD -R WARNING

Anything with Archive Collection rather it is DVD or Blu Ray, you are getting an on demand DVD -R copy not an original... Now we can't call it bootleg, because the company that put it out decided to ell us a made on demand copy of the original instead of selling us the original. It is very high priced for a copy... And most copies Warner Bro's puts out don't play properly... Just warning you of what you ill be purchasing. Great Movie! I'd give it 4 or 5 stars otherwise.

I loved this movie years ago and still love it today! The Alan parsons-produced score is a little dated and takes a way a little of the film's majesty, but after thirty years the film holds up well. The BD transfer looks great, although a few specks of dirt could be seen on the film. Overall, Warner did a good job with the transfer and it's the best the film has ever looked on any home video format. It's also the first time it's been released anamorphically as well.

This is a wonderful old movie with Mathew Broderick, Rutger Hauer and Michele Pfeiffer, all VERY young and lovely! The horses are wonderful, too. It is a period piece with a real villain, a curse on the two lovers, a thief and a priest who try to break the curse, and of course...the horses. Thanks to Best Buy for having this because it is a hard-to-find movie these days. Got to us timely and in good shape.

Not the greatest 80s fantasy flick but if you are familiar with it, I highly recommend the blu-ray. With the remastered transfer it has never looked or sounded better, and its really like a whole new experience. I tried watching it streaming on Amazon first but it was so ridiculously low quality, this blows it out of the water.

There are not enough fantasy setting films. This is one of my favorite. The only thing bad about this movie is the sound track. The blu ray transfer looks fantastic. I have never seen this movie look so good. The sound transfer is solid. No extras or bonus features, just the trailer. This is the best way to watch this movie.

As corny as the title may sound, 'LadyHawke' is actually a very good movie with an intriguing storyline. Most captivating though, are the acting performances by the stellar cast. Widescreen and full-screen viewing options, but nothing really in terms of bonus features. Recommended.
