Great Tablet
||Posted .I really like this tablet. I would give it 5 stars if the key pad wouldn't freeze from time to time via Bluetooth but otherwise it's a great buy. The battery life is truly 15 hrs and it's so portable.

portable tablet,, ok ultra/net book
||Posted .PRO: -LOOOOONG battery life (rivels ipad/android tablet operating/standby times) - fast zippy - high res screen is much sharper than other tablet/convertible along the same price range (ie. Asus transformer T100A) - windows 8.1 gives you applications you don't normally have access to on mobile OS - ability to run flash in web browser (this one is very personalized because i have some sites that I frequent and need to have flash) CON: - AS A LAPTOP: due to the fact that the keyboard is not FIRMLY attached with the tablet, this can not be used as a laptop all the time, ie. on laps, on bed, in the train on your suitcase, etc. you can only use it on a flat even service where the magnetic connection can actually maintain connected and/or the kick stand can actually prop up the tablet - AS A TABLET: Windows 8.1 is not tablet friendly, the system switches between metro UI and regular start-menu type UI inconsistently. some buttons are small (good for mouse, bad for fingers), and entry box does automatically reposition to the visible portion of the screen when the onscreen keyboard comes up (ie. onscreen keyboard covers the entry box).

Excellent and truly versatile tablet.
Posted .I am an IT Systems Admin and bought this tablet to replace my old Transformer Prime (Android) tablet that was slow and buggy. I have been looking for a "perfect" tablet for over a year, but found that every device was missing something that I considered a "required" feature. This is the best all around tablet available and the first that met all my key requirements. Pros: Battery life - lasts me two days of fairly heavy use on a charge. Full HD display (actually slightly over full HD) - beautiful and bright, particularly good for reading. Very few cheap Windows tablets have this. Full Windows 8.1 - Allows me to be productive and use any and all software I need for work or pleasure. Real multitasking - It sounds silly to say in 2014, as we've all been doing multitasking on our computers for years! But, on a tablet, Windows 8's biggest selling point for me is that you can actually have two apps (any two apps) running onscreen at the same time, easily. Neither IOS nor Android allow you to do this natively (I know that some Android tablets have tacked on this functionality, but it's only for specific apps and it's no where near as easy to use). Similarly, the first time you are watching a Youtube video and decide you want to play it in the background while you do something else you'll realize how much you've been missing on Android or IOS. Office 365 included - Admittedly only a 1 year subscription, but you can work on any document you want as you would at work, making this very useful as a productivity device. Included Bluetooth keyboard - This is a very thin and light keyboard with built in track pad. The keys are well spaced and responsive and the track pad works well. It has it's own battery, so you will need to charge it occasionally, but the battery lasts a LONG time. This is a big plus over some other 2 in 1 tablets as it's bluetooth, so you don't need to physically connect it to the tablet for it to work (a big plus if you have a case on your tablet that would otherwise prevent connecting the keyboard). Fast and responsive - In day to day use, this tablet is blazing fast! I have never experienced slowdown while running the tablet, even when playing videos in the background and surfing the net or switching between apps. Runs pretty much any windows app - Again, this makes it a true option as a laptop replacement, provided you don't need to run any massive resource intensive applications. MicroSD slot - Most non-IOS tablets have this, but many have the slot on the edges where the card can accidentally be popped out. This tablet was well designed in that the slot is hidden behind the kickstand and a plastic cover, so once you put the card in you never have to worry about losing it. Built in kickstand - This is a very handy feature and I use it all the time. The fact that you can extend it beyond 90 degrees is also very useful in situations where you want to perch it on a slopping surface. No Bloatware - Lenovo did a good job of shipping a clean device. Cons: Low storage - This is the biggest gripe for me. For the price I understand only getting 32gb, but I don't understand why there are no more expensive versions with larger storage. If it had 64gb and 128gb options available, I would give it 5 stars. Adding a microSD card greatly improves the situation, particularly if you install all your regular windows software on the card, but as there is no way to move "Apps" from the windows store to your micro SD card, this is a big limitation. Cannot remove recovery partition - This is another big pain to me, given the limited size. Basically, this tablet uses a new feature to reduce the size of the windows installation on the C: drive - it uses windows files stored in the recovery partition instead of storing them on C:. This is great for average users as it means the files are only stored in one place, so you get more room on the C: drive than if you had the full installation AND the recovery partition. However, for advanced users this means that you cannot remove the recovery partition, which would ultimately save more space than this method. Gaming performance - This is by no means a gaming focused tablet, but I like to play the occasional game, so I think it's good to mention. When playing the most intense Windows Store game, such as modern combat 5 or GT racing 2 (both of which are also available for IOS and Android, so should run ok here) the tablet will often stutter or frame skip in the more intensive scenes. Upgrading the stock graphics driver helps, but it's still not smooth. Other games run fine (like minion rush or Adrenaline 8), so I'm not sure if this is a problem with the games not taking full advantage of the hardware, but it's annoying. I think it is most likely due to the very high native resolution of the tablet. If the games allowed running at a lower resolution, or reducing some of the advanced rendering this might solve the problem (for example in Halo: Spartan Assault I was able to remove Anti-Aliasing, which significantly improved performance). No active stylus support - At the price I'm not surprised, but it would have been a nice option. Windows key slow to respond - The small silver windows logo acts as the start button, which is nice, but it's sometimes slow to respond. I actually don't mind that as a long press will usually work and this means it doesn't accidentally bring me to home when I don't intend to, but some might find it annoying. Limited apps available in the Windows Store - This is a common gripe amongst a lot of people and it's true, there's not a lot of selection in the store and many apps you might be used to from Android or IOS are missing. That said, this is improving daily and you can usually find good desktop windows applications that will do what you want in a pinch. Back plastic can be "creaky" - Occasionally I notice some flex in the back plastic of the tablet. It's not significant and I often wonder if I'm imagining it, but it's there. Needs Antivirus - Some will say this is a con, but actually I've never been fully confident having a tablet without some form of antivirus/anti-malware. Just because you're running Android or IOS doesn't mean that someone isn't trying to get a virus on your device to steal your info. At least with Windows you know to expect it and can find out how to protect yourself. I'm running Panda's free AV and it hasn't slowed the tablet at all. Conclusion - After my old Android tablet, I'm extremely happy with this tablet. It's very responsive, has a great screen, and supports all the software I need. There's certainly room for improvement and I really can't understand why Lenovo don't offer larger capacity versions, but for my money its the best all around tablet available on the market today. It has taken the place of my old tablet and laptop and I don't miss them for anything.

Excellent Tablet - Great Value
||Posted .Pros: Beautiful 16:10 High Resolution Screen Great Speakers (for a tablet) All Day battery life Unique shape that really works well Built in kickstand Lightweight Very Responsive Bluetooth Keyboard included Keyboard is nearly full size and easy to type on Front and Rear cameras Premium look and feel Micro SD Card Slot HDMI Out Cons: Screen is too green/blue. But this can be adjusted. Keyboard on/off switch is EXTREMELY stiff Trackpad is small and feels cheap No full size USB port (It's Micro USB) Kickstand can be tricky to open when docked on keyboard Only 32GB built in memory (23GB available to user) Windows on a tablet works well, but is not for 'Simple' users. When the keyboard is used as a cover it can slide around. My Thoughts: I love this tablet. I have used an iPad 3, iPad Air, and iPad mini and HP Touchpad. This tablet is a really good size for single handed reading and for typing with the keyboard. The speakers sound really good, but are lacking bass. The battery really does last all day and then some. For anyone wondering, yes, you can use the tablet & keyboard on your lap like a laptop. It's not quite as stable, but it works.

good laptop replacement
||Posted .I needed a replacement for an old laptop. I have a few software titles that still require Windows. I didn't want to buy a bulky laptop again, so I gave this product a try. I was a little leery of the rounded shape of the bottom, the roll out metal bar and how well the magnetic keyboard would work. However, they seem to all work well. The only knock I have is the power button is in a place that I often hit by accident.

Value Priced Windows Tablet
||Posted .I've been following the release of windows tablets for the past two years waiting for that one tablet that meets all my needs and budget. I've had the opportunity to work with our IT administrator in the selection of Surface Pro 3's for our faculty and would opt for the Surface pro if budget was no obstacle. So I pondered over the Asus Transformer T100 and would have likely purchased the updated model had the Lenovo Yoga 2 10" with Windows 8.1 had not been introduced. There are some differences and I especially like the physical design of the Yoga. I purchased with the understanding that I had a two week return policy and I'm 1 week into that two weeks and have thrown everything at it that I could, including replace IE with Chrome synced to my other devices, AVG security suite, and Team Viewer to access my workstation at the school remotely. I'm almost positive I'll keep it and may have more to add in a week or two.

Great For Netflix and stuff
Posted .I couldn't decide between the Samsung Galaxy Note+ V2.0 Extreme Edition w/ extra mayo or whatever it was with the OLED screen and went with this because it has Windows 8 on it and it was sleek. Positives: +High Resolution (1920x1200# +Has Windows 8 so its not limited to android or apple apps +Speakers are loud and clear #Not bassy but you shouldn't expect that# +Rich Colors #I was impressed, who needs OLED# +Battery lasts forever and a half #and then some# +Detachable keyboard is responsive and feels good #Chiclet keys# +Solid design #Feels like a laptop# +It can play many steam games without fps lag +The touch windows button and swipe controls are useful and stuff +HDMI Out #Oh god yes# Negatives: -Glass is fragile #Who knew# -If you let it sleep too long it might have issues #Maybe) -It doesn't fit in your pocket -The keyboard and tablet are separate so they must be charged separately unless you have a USB port to plug one or the other into Overall it's a really nice tablet/laptop that is great for killing time and watching Netflix and playing games when you have time to do such things. You can also use it to type up expense reports and trade stock futures if you're a fancy businessman man. Sidenote: Don't leave it in your car in negative 10 degree weather or it will die and possibly not turn on again. If you have issues with it not turning on just hold the power button for 60 seconds, let go of the button, then hold it for 3 seconds and you're good. Maybe. It's a lovely device but it needs love. If you're a lumbering ape that might put his or her thumb through the screen buy an ipad with a tuffcase. If you're someone who has owned the same smartphone for 2 years without a case on it and has never dropped it or walked into the ocean with it, this might be the tablet you definitely want to drop dollar dollar bills on. Side Sidenote: If you're having trouble with the keyboard connecting and stuff just go into the Bluetooth settings and pair it so it remembers the keyboards digital signature and then turn discovery mode off so it stops trying to pair with peoples phones and stuff. Also remember that the keyboard goes into sleep mode just like the tablet after an extended period of inactivity so tap the keys and wait half a second to turn it back on. Be patient with your electronic devices, try to consider how they operate, why issues might occur, and don't expect any given device to be a model of perfection and operate with grace and ease in every given circumstance. Remember that the ability to do practically anything with these miracles of science is just that, a miracle. Be nice to them. One day they might rise up.

Nice Little Tablet
||Posted .I was looking for a replacement for my iPad, and the Android tablet systems did not interest me at all. When I saw that Lenovo introduced this model I had to take a look. My local BestBuy store had them in stock when I visited, but did not have one on display yet. The service staff was great and set one up for me while I waited. Needless to say I purchased one. Crisp and responsive display, Windows 8 runs well with the snappy Intel Atom processor, and the whole tablet seems solidly built and does not flex when you hold it. Windows 8 paired with the included Bluetooth keyboard right away. Battery life so far has been good.

Q: QuestionDoes the Yoga 2 Have a Full size USB port? The pictures appear to show a Full Size USB port, yet I can't find any documentation confirming (or denying) it.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No, the Yoga 2 Tablet 10" with Windows does not have a full sized USB port. However, you can get an OTG adapter (that goes from Micro-USB to full size USB) for a few dollars. I got a 2-pack of OTG adapters for like $6.99.

Q: QuestionExternal Memory? Can you connect an external hard drive or thumb drive with an adapter to this? 32GB doesn't go too far these days...
Asked by Bob_E.
- A:Answer You can buy a USB "On-The-Go" adapter cable. I've found them online for just a few dollars. You plug the cable into the micro usb port on the tablet and you get a full-size USB plug on the other end. You can also add a microSD card to the tablet's microSD slot.

Q: QuestionI want to be able to print wirelessly. What printer(s) are recommended with the Yoga 2?
Asked by Jeff.
- A:Answer you shouldn't worry about the tablet brand when picking a printer. this is a standard PC running the full version of Windows 8.1 ANY printer that works with Windows 8.1 wirelessly would work great for you. I happen to like HP but most modern printers will make you happy for casual/home printing
