Q: Can you remove the attached mount and put your own in? Does it work with a traditional mount if so?
A: You can remove the attached mount. In fact, it comes unattached. The mount foundation on the rear is sized for standard mounts. I travel a lot, and every three weeks in my hotel, I disassemble the monitor and box it back up to store in my second car for a week back home. So, it is easy to remove (no tools necessary).
A: It has four inputs: One USBC One Displayport HDMI 1 and 2 I connected my 2014 MacBook Pro to the DisplayPort using an adaptor from my thunderbolt port, and it works fantastically. I was somewhat surprised that the 2014 computer could drive my internal retina display at max resolution and simultaneously support the UltraWide at full resolution. I don't play games on the system, so I'm not user how it would perform for high frame-rates, but for my kind of productivity work, it is just a great combination.

A: I use this monitor to replace two 27 inch montors. You will need a mighty big space to have a 2nd monitor up, but if you have the capacity within your system for 2 then yes.
