The EasyLoad door on this LG electric dryer offers dual opening options to simplify the loading and unloading process.
Spend less time on laundry with more room for clothes.
Free up your day—fit more clothes in every load with 7.3 cu. ft. of space. Running fewer loads saves energy and money on your utility bill.
Refresh clothes with steam in between washes
Go ahead, wear it again—in just 10 minutes, TurboSteam technology reduces wrinkles and odors in up to 5 garments when you don’t have time to wash. Also refreshes children’s toys, decorative pillows and more.
Keep your appliances running smoothly with ThinQ Care, now in the ThinQ app. Get notifications about usage, maintenance, plus early diagnosis right on your phone. ThinQ Care will help you understand your appliance needs, avoid potential problems, and keep your appliance running its best.
Open up to convenience
The dual-opening options of the LG EasyLoad door make loading and unloading the dryer easier than ever. Transferring wet clothes from the washer? Simply press the release button and pull the door down, hamper style to keep that stray sock from hitting the floor.
Removing dry items? Swing the door to the side to clear the way for your basket below. Even tight spaces and challenging laundry-room layouts are no match for versatility like this.
Finish laundry while you're on the go
No matter where you are, use the ThinQ app to start the dryer, extend cycle time to avoid wrinkles and receive an alert when clothes are dry. Go hands-free—select dryer features work with Alexa and the Google Assistant. Never run out of dryer sheets again—
Amazon Dash Replenishment Service tracks usage and automatically delivers dryer sheets right to your door. With Smart Pairing, the washer can even tell the dryer to select a compatible drying cycle, making it the ultimate laundry hack.
Sensor adjusts drying time to eliminate the guesswork
No more damp clothes—the built-in sensor detects moisture levels and automatically adjusts drying time for loads of all sizes. No more overdrying—dryer shuts off at just the right time to save energy with less wear and tear on clothes.
Keep your dryer clean, efficient and safe
FlowSense Duct Clogging and Lint Filter Indicators let you know when ducts and filters need cleaning to avoid lint buildup, improve performance for greater efficiency and lower utility bills, and help give safer, worry-free operation with fewer service calls.
Who says dryers can't be energy efficient?
High efficiency sensor drying and low-heat settings save energy and money by using about 20% less energy¹ than conventional models without sacrificing features or performance.
Shiny and new
Just because you want your dryer to last for years doesn’t mean you want it to look its age. The NeveRust Stainless Steel Drum is built to keep drying your clothes more efficiently without showing wear and tear.
Smooth, quiet performance
Run the dryer whenever you want, without interrupting naptime or your favorite show. This dryer is designed for quiet operation, from the motor to the cabinet to individual components. Pleasant end-of-cycle chime lets you know when clothes are dry.
Greater installation flexibility
When space is tight or your laundry room doesn’t fit the “typical” setup, this dryer’s door can easily be reversed to fit your needs. Go from a right- to a left swing in minutes—just unscrew the hinges and reattach using the pre-drilled holes on the opposite side.
Win the war on wrinkles
When you hate wrinkles but can’t be there to remove clothes as soon as they’re dry; select the Wrinkle Care option before hitting start. The dryer periodically tumbles the load up to 3 hours after the cycle is done or until the door is opened to help keep wrinkles at bay.
*Dryer cords are not shipped with the dryer. It is the responsibility of the consumer to purchase the appropriate cord for their home.

It drys my clothes, towels, rugs, and anything else I throw in it without any issues. The smart features are cool and it is nice to be able to download additional drying cycles. If it lasts 5 to 10 years, I'll be happy.

Thank you Best Buy for the best purchase I appreciate it
She sure is pretty! I love that the settings allow us to adjust to desired dryness (as if max dry isn't always the option). Even more love for the digital display that shows estimated timeframe to complete the cycle. You can adjust temp and time or let the dryer use its sensors to run the load on its own. I trust myself more though! The coolest features to me: the steam fresh cycle cause who likes to fold wrinkled, cold laundry? Not me! I've used the sanitary cycle a couple of times but geez that takes more than 2 hours to complete. Still cool and overall it's easy to use!
If I could change something about this machine it would be the door and the lint trap. We had the machine professionally installed which includes a (right swing, left open or top partial pull down) door. Of course that was the opposite of what we needed in our laundry room for the most efficient in/out laundry swap! The manual explains how to switch the door swing so we gave it a go. I'm pretty handy but next time i'll grab some cash and ask the team installing the machine to make the changes before taking off. We literally had to unscrew every single bolt, rod, screw, panel and glass piece to dismantle, flip the positioning and reassemble the aforementioned zillion pieces! Don't skip any steps like my husband likes to "attempt" cause you'll just have to start again. Sigh. At least he tried to help! All in all it took about 2 hours of time for something I would've estimated to be less than an hour to complete.
Nit picky about the lint trap too. It's placed at the front of the door which is great to remind your kids to use it (hopefully). However, when I pull it out after each load I see small pieces of lint falling and collecting down inside the lint shaft (is shaft the right word?). Maybe this is normal but I can't help but try to scrape the walls and stretch my fingers to grab the loose pieces in hopes to prevent an inefficient dying cycle or eventual clogged vents somewhere inside my house walls. I refused to scratch my bare knuckles anymore and started using a long-ish swirl brush to do my lint collecting. It works but i'd think some smart person would've invented a "lintless" dryer by now!
Tech stuff: a king size comforter fits just fine. It still took 2 full dry cycles on the highest heat to complete the task all the way through the middle. All good - I was paying more than $30 to clean each of our comforters at the dry cleaners before. The size of this dryer makes this purchase decision an easy win!
If you like the small unexpected things in life like me you'll enjoy the sing songy musical tone the dryer plays at the end of the cycle. LG style. Love it!
Final same but separate review - we bought the matching LG top load washer with the 5.5 cubic capacity (we wanted big - we got big). It's so deep I can just barely reach the bottom of the tub to retrieve the clothes. Seriously - i'm 5'4 and can't stand it anymore. I've tried different tools to grab the clothes and a step stool but inevitably end up smashing my "chest" as I lean head first, feet out dangling to swap out the wet clothes. If you're considering the matching set and you're under 5'4 i'd venture to a store to give it a test run!
We love LG and decided to go with this dryer. The loads have been great, and we use the steam feature very often. I wish the dryer was a bit more quiet. The LG app also makes it easy to monitor the diagnistics and electric usage.
cannot program, or change settings. None of the controls shown in the first picture show up - are dimmed out. When operating the third pic shows what is active. Cannot change temp to medium for example.

First new washer/dryer matching set in 15 yrs!
My first brand new dryer with matching washer set in 15 years I am excited :-)! First, huge shout out to Installers Kyrik and Casey. Both of these young men were highly professional, courteous, took extreme care of removing my old set and bringing and setting up my new set despite my laundry room being located on the second floor of my home. Simply wonderful and polite young men which just added to the thrill of my new purchases. I can’t thank Kyrik and Casey enough for yesterday. Both the new washer and dryer set are beautiful inside out and love the super capacity it holds. I can wash more clothes in one wash instead of multiple washes. I haven’t navigated all of the settings just yet and I still need to set up the wifi function along with the LG app. Bye bye white appliances and hello new technology and style. I love that the dryer comes on by itself if it detects the clothes are still damp. To say that I am pleased with this purchase and over all experience is an understatement! Thanks Kyrik and Casey and thanks Best Buy!
We had our previous LG dryer for over 10 years without a service call or hiccup. We decided to upgrade and move the older units to our lake cabin.
We liked the steam setting on our previous LG, but you manually had to add the water. Now the hose connects directly to the washer water line, so it handles the addition of water automatically.
Plus, I admit to being intrigued by internet connectivity. It has exceeded my expectations. The dryer sends a notification to both my cell phone and iWatch automatically when a drying cycle is complete.
Plus, you can check the amount of time remaining on the LG app.
This is a terrific dryer.
TIP: It tends to go on sale every few weeks.
A:AnswerYes, something is wrong. My dryer is super quiet and I have not experienced any high pitch sound. This is my second LG dryer of this model. I owned my previous version for 3 years and never had any issues.
A:AnswerI've had this dryer for 15 months and the light is a convenience but works oddly. When the cycle stops, the light comes on and stays on a few minutes, but not generally long enought to empty the dryer. I fold/hang my clothes as they come out of the dryer so one at a time. If you empty everything all at once into a hamper for example, you'll have no trouble with the light being on long enough. The weird part is that to re-light the light, you have to turn the dryer back on, then hold the "drum light" touchpad for 3 seconds. The light will then come back on for some period of time. Very unintuitive, and unnecessarily cumbersome.

A:AnswerThey make a steam dryer kit that I bought at menards. It's a small hose that attaches to a y and it hooks up to the cold water for your washer. Then 1 hose goes to the dryer and then you take the hose from your washer and hook it up to the other part of the y. It's super easy
