- A: AnswerHello Chaz, thanks for your question. The Acton II Bluetooth speaker can be connected to your device without the Marshall Bluetooth app; in fact, you will always need to manually connect the speaker to your phone or device directly to be able to stream to the speaker. The app will provide some additional features such as remote control, an equalizer and firmware updates. If you don't use the app, we recommend connecting the speaker to the app regularly to check for any available updates.

Q: QuestionCan the speaker Still play aloud while the headphones are plugged in?(1 answer)
A: AnswerThe 3.5 aux input on the speaker is an input only, it is not an output that can be used to connect to headphones: it is not possible to connect headphones to this speaker.Answered by Customer Service
- A: AnswerYES, but... If your player/turntable has a built in pre-amp you should be able to connect directly to this speaker. When you look at the player,, if you see "line" output or "aux" output then you likely have a built in pre-amp. If you only see "phono" then you need to connect to a pre-amp then to the speaker. If the outputs are "line" or "aux" and are RCA (red and black) then get a male RCA to 3.5mm cable. If output is only phono you'll have to find an inline pre-amp that's wired male RCA to 3.5mm or with cables to fit inputs from player and outputs to 3.5mm speaker. This speaker is exceptional and will be the perfect match for a record player with it's gorgeous retro styling and built in brass knobs for adjusting treble and bass. In addition to making everyone jealous of the looks it will then blow them away with how much great sound comes out. I hope you come back and read this and buy it because I love this awesome speaker and it's absolutely perfectly suited for matching up with a record player. $150 is a great price too. I paid much more years ago and it was a great value as it's still my favorite speaker

Marshall Speaker Review
After months of contemplation, I finally decided to purchase a Marshall speaker, and it has been an unparalleled addition to my daily routine. From the unboxing to the first note that filled the room, the experience has been nothing short of exceptional. Design and Build Quality The first thing that strikes you about the Marshall speaker is its iconic design. The vintage-inspired look, complete with the classic Marshall logo, not only serves as a nod to the brand's rock 'n' roll heritage but also adds a touch of elegance to my living space. The build quality is sturdy, with a weight that reassures you of its durability. The tactile knobs for volume, bass, and treble adjustments not only add to its retro charm but allow for a satisfying level of control over the sound output. Sound Quality The sound quality is, in a word, impressive. The speaker delivers a rich, clear, and balanced audio experience that is a testament to Marshall's legacy in sound engineering. The bass is deep and powerful without overwhelming the mid and high frequencies. Whether I'm playing classic rock, jazz, or contemporary pop, the speaker handles each genre with finesse, bringing a depth and clarity to the music that is truly captivating. Connectivity and Features Setting up the speaker was straightforward, thanks to its intuitive connectivity options. The Bluetooth connection is stable and quick to set up, allowing me to stream music from my phone effortlessly. I also appreciate the addition of a 3.5mm jack, which gives me the flexibility to connect older devices that might not support Bluetooth. The Marshall Bluetooth app is a nice touch, offering an additional layer of control over the sound settings and making it easy to switch between different connected devices. Battery Life As for portability, the speaker's battery life has been remarkable. It easily lasts through a day of continuous play, making it perfect for outdoor gatherings or just moving it around the house without worrying about finding a power outlet. Charging is equally efficient, ensuring the speaker is ready to go when I need it. Final Thoughts In conclusion, the Marshall speaker has exceeded my expectations. It's not just a speaker; it's a statement piece that combines style, quality, and performance. Whether you're an audiophile or someone who appreciates the finer things in life, this speaker is a worthy investment. It offers an immersive listening experience that brings music to life, making every moment more memorable. If you're on the fence about getting one, I'd say go for it – it's an experience you won't regret.

I was looking for a Bluetooth piece when I come across this Marshall. I'm a percussionist from back in the 70s and eighties Plus and when I seen this Marshall it reminded me of the Marshall stacks the set behind me on stage for all the musicians to play through. When I seen this he reminded me of those therefore I caught my mini stack it's small and they have a variety of sizes that go up in price but I got this on sale and when I got it going and got the app working for The equalizer it has two tweeters and a sub in it and this little thing feels a room for a beautiful crystal clear sound it's amazing well worth the money I'm looking here in the future to buy a bigger one and have two in a room and then it really will sound outstanding. It's also a beautiful piece it's well crafted well made over in Switzerland where they make Marshall I've even talked to a couple of them by way of email very friendly people willing to work with you right away. I rated the Stars down there pretty good but there's not enough storage on the paper there to actually rate this for the quality workmanship and value cuz it's probably I'd rate them 10 to 20 that's outstanding.

Big big sound in a very small footprint.
I was sitting in the doctor's office waiting to be seen and heard the most amazing sound playing. I looked around to see if they ceiling mounted speakers that were recessed and they didn't. Then I spotted this stylish little "bookshelf" speaker and realized that the huge sound was coming out of it. I was blown away and after my appointment, I drove to Best Buy and bought one immediately. I love the big sound that comes from this retro looking package, the lighted dials on the top and just the build quality of this. It's built to last and had some serious weight to it. The bluetooth sound is actually quite impressive but I also use it with Chromecast Audio with the line in. Either way you can't go wrong. I do wish it didn't need the app to set it up but it's a small annoyance that doesn't take away from the value of this. It's amazing.
