A: The headset works independent to of the TV’s volume control. Turning down / off the volume of the TV’s regular speakers does not effect the headset volume while preventing the TV’s regular speakers from disturbing others even if they are in the same room. The headset can be turn up/down to the desired listening level by using the volume control toggle on the headset itself. It works great!!! Happy listening.
Q: If I buy a new set, will the plastic arms break as my current set has ?
A: Unfortunately, probably will. While they work great, and the bluetooth function is awesome, I have been through several pairs due to this. Yes, the plastic arms for the ear cups do break, and I have gone through several pairs because of this. My elderly father loves them to listen to TV, but he is too rough while putting them on and off. Must be careful to not stretch them out too much while putting on.
