Cable is great but price is high. The difference in picture quality as compared to a much less expensive HDMI cable is undetectable. The Monster cable and similar "premium" cables are more durable but I really don't see any difference to justify the cost.. It states: HDMI A/V cable that supports up to 4K resolution and 3D video signals...that's what a HDMI cable does, so if the $9 one meets the same HDMI standards how does the $49 one do 40 dollars more worth of A/V transmission? I suppose if you have lots of cables and possible cross talk/interference the Monster cable may be shielded a bit better, but who knows for sure? The Best Buy tech really pushed the Monster cable and I'm sort of wondering what they use in-store for displays. Maybe they should have a side by side comparison so we can actually see if there is a difference.

After trying to find competitor cables based on the speed and video output, this is definitely the one to start with. My Grandma spoiled herself and got a 60" LED and when I was trying to watch HD channels from her cable box the picture just wasn't right. So we set out to Best Buy and this monster HDMI cable is all you need for a basic set up for a cable box or standard blu-ray player. It made her new TV look the way it's supposed to. If you're trying to get better resolution I'd go with a higher rated and faster speed to get the best out of your blu-ray definition and 3D experience with Monster Cables. This cable even works with Game Consoles.

Anyone that knows how to put APA together especially when you spend that kind of money you can't just get anything because you just don't have the money if you will buy expensive equipment don't buy something cheap to go on to save money because you will lose out in the in when you watch an old big sports games and you have the fellows over you don't want to watch out for the picture or listen to a bite to noise so you have to get the right pieces of equipment.

Bought these cables to use with my full HD plasma TV and components. Maximum resolution for all of my equipment is 1080p so I did not think it was necessary to get more expensive cables than these. They replaced no name $7 HDMI cables. I saw a huge increase in color richness and better detail. Images took on more of a 3 dimensional quality with improved depth perception. They were definitely a huge improvement over what I had before. They also fit much tighter than cheaper cables. Well worth the money for the 5 sets that I bought and felt it was a good investment given what I spent on my video system.

      Love monster cables

I know that the way hdmi transmits a signal the cable shouldn't make difference. Regardless of my understanding I personally notice a difference when using monster cables. I don't know if this is the placebo effect ( i.e. I just spent 50-100$ on a cable) or there is an actual perceivable difference. All I can say is I have blind tested myself (the girlfriend had no idea why I had her switching cables, but was a good sport nonetheless) and noticed less artifacts and deeper blacks with monster cables. It's kind of like a UFO unexplainable scientifically but there if you believe in that sort of stuff.

I had originally bought a budget cable online to connect my PS4 Pro and 60 inch Samsung Smart TV. It looked amazing! Only problem was my PS4 was claiming that my TV was non-compliant with a HDMI standard. Hmmmm. After some research I came to the conclusion that the budget cable may be at fault. So off to Best Buy to check out Monster Cable. Groan, wow they are expensive. Bottom line, my PS4 and TV are communicating just fine now and HDR pops. Well worth the cost. Do yourself a favor and skip the budget cables...

I decided to try one of Monster's gold cables to see if it really made any difference quality-wise. We've been using Rocketfish cables, and they're fine -- but we recently had to replace our home-theater-in-a-box. Now have a soundbar that funnels video through to the monitor, so that's where I used the new Monster cable. And I gotta say, I do see a difference as far as color vibrancy and clarity. Not a huge difference, but noticeable. And this cable isn't even Monster's highest-end one, so, there you go. I'd say it's worth it.

I visited my local Best Buy to pick up an HDMI cable after the one I have hooked up to my audio receiver intermittently went in and out. This was the second budget HDMI cable that went out like that. I figured, screw it, HDMI signals are digital, so there is no need for premium cables, since the signal is either there or not. Well, the quality lies in the physical cable itself, and not in the signal as many cables advertise. This cable feels sturdy and well made. Let's see how long it lasts.
