Motorola - Moto 360 Smart Watch for Android Devices 4.3 or Higher - Gray Leather

This is the best smart watch on the market now and months to come, hands down. Unless you're a die hard Apple or Samsung fan, if you have an Android phone, get this! PRICE: The Moto 360 can be had for $249. If this sounds expensive, put this into perspective: The older smart watches will cost you at least $149-199 (without any special discounts, deals, trades, and etc) and the new Samsung Gear S costs $349. The Apple watches WILL START at $349 when they come out and go up to $600 as things currently stand. Hopefully you get my drift! STYLING: Head-turner, head-turner, head-turner! Due to the round face, it turns heads every time, especially when people realize it's a smart watch on your wrist! You can change the watch faces on the fly and the majority of them are free! You'll blow your friends and family's minds when you change the look of your screen immediately. There are plenty of free screens for everyone! If you use the voice commands, it will REALLY make them drool! The styling will fool some people into thinking it's just an expensive regular watch until the screen lights up. All the other smart watches on the market except for the LG G Watch R are square watches, including the Apple Watch when it gets here and the new Samsung Gear S. This is as close to a real watch as you can get. Also, unlike the Gear S and Apple watches, you can switch bands out to ANY standard watch band, and you have bumper cases (pictured) and skins to protect and style your watch with. The light sensor bar doesn't even bother you like some reviewers said it would. I've never had an issue viewing my screen in any light setting as well. Don't be swayed by these harsh magazine reviews pointing out the Moto's flaws, it just won't bother most users in reality. FITNESS: Why spend $100+ on a fitness band and etc when this watch has everything you need in it. Walking, running, biking, gym, etc, etc, it has it covered. You can even use Google Maps through this, with turn by turn vibrating alerts for walking/driving, and etc. The vibrating direction change alerts REALLY help when you are not paying attention or want to zone out yet be notified of direction changes. Google Fit has me not missing my Samsung S Health App and etc (and I almost didn't buy this watch for that reason alone), and you can monitor your heart rate on the fly and it's pretty accurate when worn correctly at that. You also have Nike and a few other health apps. FUNCTIONALITY: It takes a few minutes to get used to the UI (user interface), but you'll quickly jump right in. The vibrating alerts are just right and can be customized and muted as well. It's very easy to use and you can dismiss the notifications from piling up on your phone through you watch. The voice has some flaws (what doesn't??), but works fairly well for the most part. This comes in handy when your hands are full and you need to do commands through your watch. It's a developer's watch, so you can tweak and edit things that you could only dream of doing on other smart watches. The processors are older tech, but honestly, I have yet to encounter any lagging and etc that bothers you. Everything has it's flaws, no matter what it is and how much it costs. This device has very few. It's worth every penny, trust me!

Beyond a doubt one the best watch purchases I've made in years. I have more watches than I'll admit to in print... Bad news : Battery life sucks- On at 6:30 am and at 50% by 8:30. It took a while to get that range. I keep the faces to low power (thank you Intellicom app!) and wifi to home at nights. Not really a go to for all day adventures as an activity tracker. Not completely able to use any 22mm band (tiny groove in the middle why?) and the spring coils are evil little demons. Messing with the band will more than likely cause the infamous cracks on the back. The heart rate monitor makes me wish I had my fitbit back or maybe I'm heartless. It doesn't report monitoring unless you activate the app. Again miss the fitbit but only when I want to track activity levels because... The good part: This is a watch collector must have! The silver/stone combo is the ultimate neutral. On my girly wrist, it doesn't come off too manly and on husband's it looks just right. I like big ole chronograph watches so there wasn't a moment of "Gah! What is Big Ben doing on my wrist?!" Some reviews said it looked odd from the side and yup, it does now that you mention it.. but that angle is not a common position so okay.. I wish the band was more flush with the casing so I needn't worry about the back cracking.. But it gets compliments almost daily. The leather is study and has worn to a nice weathered look. Which is way better than the black strapped ones. I know people with the black band it looks crinkled and ready to replace within a few months. The UI is very intuitive. I love all the geeky things it can do. Everything from running my car radio, buzzing me to turn left, finding my phone and replying to texts without digging for the phone in my purse. Notifications are more subtle in meetings. Paring this to my old HTC m7 and now Galaxy s6 edge was easy. Yes, I now match outfits to watch faces, this might stop someday but until then I've got a great watch to play with at a great price point. Tech geek is more than appeased.

As may be obvious from the size of the battery that is the weak point of this device. I wear it about 14 hours and it has typically 10-20% battery left. With the lower range it will go into power save mode on the way home. The upshot on this is that since it is a small battery the built in Qi charging can add 50% in a matter of 30 minutes. I purchased a no name Qi charging little hockey puck off ebay and charge it if it looks like I am going to struggle. I have noticed a increased battery usage rate when my paired phone is also having a difficult day with battery life as well. This may be caused by my usage that day but I don't have any real data to show that. There are thousands of watch faces you can add to this device including some apps that allow you to design your own as well as go through their extensive library. I bought some aftermarket watch bands but make sure that you are getting 22mm bands with the relief cut in it for the 360. I bought a leather one for mine with it and for my wife without and was able to easily cut the relief in the band to allow it to fit. I also found a metal band that looks absolutely fantastic on this watch for a much more reasonable price also online. These are definitely a first gen device but it typically stays connected without the crashes that I would have anticipated with a new device and connection to the phone so I am extremely pleased with that. Each update to the watch they roll out it adds more functionality. Soon to be enabled is wifi so that if your phone is on the same wifi network you will still get notifications to the watch when you are out of bluetooth range. I really use the voice reply on the watch for emails, social media threads and texts a great deal.

When I purchased the Moto 360 the price was just right. The watch itself does is job as a notifier watch and has an enormous list of watch faces that continues to grow! The battery life varies depending on the type of face that you are running. I was looking at anywhere between 12-18 hrs before a charge on must faces. Other stock faces is between 18-20 hrs. I love the fact that the band's are interchangeable as well. Down side is that after just over 1 month of use there was a crack that developed. The back cover looks to be made of plastic and I worried that the crack may effect the water resistant rating. I contacted the moto repair center and it was exchanged without a fuss! Again for the price I couldn't go wrong.

I bought the Moto 360 at BestBuy after seeing Apple's iWatch announcement and reading reviews of both products. Since the iWatch only works with iPhones and I'm an Android guy, the decision was easy. Plus, the Moto 360 is round and looks like a normal watch instead of the square geek watches like the Pebble, Gear, etc. So far the Moto 360 has been great. The intial reviews knocked it for poor battery life but Android just released a software update and battery life has not been an issue. I charge it every night and it runs all day with no problems. I even made a custom watch face with the Facer app that has my NFL team logo on it. I'm please with the watch and the ability to get texts and email updates without fishing my phone out of my pocket all the time. I have sent a few texts by speaking into the watch and that's another cool feature. Looking forward to more apps becoming available for it through Android Wear.

I love my Moto 360; but even with the 5.0.1 update the watch battery just doesn't make it all day long. I have to charge it after lunch just to make it last until I get home after school. Granted I have a couple of 15 hour days between work & college; but it's about out of juice by the end of the work day. I also have a few scratches on the gorilla glass after only 8 days of use (in an office setting). I am now ordering the screen protector & an extra charger because it charges faster with the one made for the Motorola versus my other qi charger. That being said, I love the functionality of the watch. I have a family member that needs to be able to contact me immediately if needed and it's a nice reassurance that the watch will light up with a text (including Google hangouts!) message or a phone call so I can give a quick glance to see if it is an immediate need to grab my phone. If they will get that battery a little longer life, I would never have to take it off during the day to charge it. I <3 my Moto 360! I also <3 the Minion time app I got from the app store.

I've only been using the watch for two days, but so far I have mixed feelings on the watch so far. Battery Life: Many articles are saying the recent firmware upgrade gives the Moto 360 significantly better battery life, but in my first days of use I am only getting about 15 hours on a charge with ambient mode off. Hopefully that will improve as the watch better calibrates its battery estimates (and I stop playing with the watch so much). Looks: The watch itself has a nice look, but the round shape is a bit "cartoony". Also, while the gray band feels nice to the touch, it has a cardboard look to it which I am not a fan of. Luckily the watch body's stainless steel matches well with the Pebble Steel band, which fits perfectly and definitely improves the look (see attached picture). Best Buy sells them for $20, a much better price than what Motorola is saying the cost of their steel band will be (closer to $80). Android Wear: Android wear is in it's infancy, and it shows. While notifications work well, the ability to interact with them varies by application. For example, GMail and Hangouts allow you to reply by voice, but the stock Email client gives the option to reply but it doesn't work. Also, there is no way to see a message once you have dismissed it. Finding the "launcher" is tricky, it is buried at the bottom of the options in the OK Google screen. A third party launcher is available, but it can get in your way and isn't ideal. I think Google will improve the features as they move to the L release, but time will tell.

I really cannot take my eyes off of my moto 360-stone leather band! I was lucky enough to snatch one right before it was sold out in a mere 30 minutes when this color first came out to best buy! I've been getting a lot of compliments on how beautiful it looks, and I do agree it's a great looking device with a lot to offer! I love being able to show it off to people who ask me "how can you tell time when the screen is all black?!". I just flick my wrist, give it a few swipes and amaze the crowd! I like that I can get all of my notifications while I'm in a meeting, driving, or if I leave my phone in my office to meet with employees, I don't miss a thing! The battery life is great, my moto 360 gets off the charger at 7:30am and by the time I get home at 7:00pm it's still around 50-60% charged, and I do get a lot of notifications!!! Sometimes I can go for 2 days without fully charging it. I just throw it on the charger when I wake up to wash up/get dressed for work for 30 mins, and by the time I take it off to leave, it's good to last for the rest of the day. I like how most of the apps are free on android wear, unlike the pebble which charges you when you download the companion apps in the play store. In addition, I don't have to download extra apps to control music, or display notifications with foreign languages (ex. Chinese) as I do get notifications on Whatsapp and WeChat. Android Wear still has a lot of space for improvement, but so far I have no complains and love having it on my wrist everyday!!! I can't wait for the other android wear smartwatches to come out!
