Genre: Fanservice, comedy, ecchi, Harem Length: 12 episodes "The insanity that began when a very naked (and very female# alien teleported into Rito Yuki's bathtub #while he was in it# continues. And even though Princess Lala has finally started to admit her true feelings for the young man she's inexplicably engaged to marry #as a result of what happened in said bathtub and Develuke customs,# her sometimes erratic technology and the snags and snarls of intergalactic politics and intrigue are still causing major problems. That transporter? Yeah, it still has the nasty habit of leaving the clothes behind. Alien bounty hunters? Yep, even more of them and they're even more devious. Add body switches, alien skunks, a bathroom that changes size and shape, the inevitable sleepover that you just know is going to go horribly, horribly wrong #spoiler: it does.) Worst of all, there's Valentine's Day, and even in space you'll be able to hear Rito scream! Love takes a quantum shift into the wrong gear and the star brakes are broken in the extra-special, extra-crazy extraterrestrial romance to end them all, MOTTO TO LOVE RU - The Complete Collection!!!" To Love Ru is one of those hard series to explain to people. The actual titles is ~Toraburu~ AKA, Love Trouble! As this is basically the 2nd season, I don't encourage you to watch this one if you haven't seen the first season. The first season builds up some of the characters and their backgrounds. Motto, AKA more, is pretty much focused on increasing Rito's relationship with all of the girls. And there are a LOT of them. The alien princess, Lala, as well as her two sisters, Momo and Nana. The assassin, Yami. His sister, Mikan. School crush, Haruna. Transgender alien, Run. And at least 6 others...too many! And to top it all off, he has the luck/misfortune to always end up in a compromising position with one of the girls. If he trips, you can guarantee that he's landed face-first between someone's legs or has managed to pull their pants down. Or maybe his hand just happened to fall onto their chest. However, he usually ends up getting his butt kicked afterwards. The graphics are well done here with the point of emphasis on the characters, and usually their undergarments. The backgrounds are pretty ordinary and don't tend to have much moving. Blu-ray quality makes it look much more vivid with more vibrant colors. If you bought the DVD version of series 1, then you were assaulted by all of the light-bars and censors, but they're gone in the Blu-ray releases! Nothing too extreme; just a lot of topless shots. The extras are pretty lackluster which isn't a surprise coming from Sentai. This is also one of the titles that they've gone to putting everything on one disc. I didn't notice any degradation of quality. Motto To Love Ru is a fun title to watch, especially if you're a little ero-minded. There's not much in the plot department, but there are plenty of laughs to keep it entertaining. I recommend it!

P.S. For the third season it does not include the ovas that serve as side stories during that season and on the fourth season so check on Wikipedia to see any changes on the list of EPs of To love Ru darkness EPs release dates.
