I just love my new soundbar!
Posted .I bought this soundbar in December to upgrade my old speaker system. what attracted me the most was the fact that it has rear satellites for true surround. I can say I'm more than pleased! the wireless subwoofer is so convenient. I placed mine inside a small closet where it's not only invisible but makes lots (and I mean LOTS) of bass. sound is great and yes, they're loud! I'm very glad I chose this soundbar; not only they're so affordable compared to what you get for the same money elsewhere, but they're future proof by offering the latest in surround technology (dts:x and very soon, Dolby Atmos. with the next firmware update). I totally recommend them!

Love the new system!
||Posted .I spent a few years waiting on sound bar tech to catch up with 4K, Dolby and my OLED TV. Debated on this model or the 2 newer ones and even considered the model with 2 subwoofers, but ultimately chose this one for the less expensive price and because my living room is medium sized. Set up is simple IF you DON’T follow the instructions. I didn’t want to have to use 20 remotes for all of my accessories (cable box, blue ray, android box, Roku), and although they claim the sound is better when these are directly connected to the sound bar, I found that ease of use with the HDMI ARC connection to my TV and having the components hooked up to the TV is a much simpler solution and allows me to control everything the way I used to without any degradation of sound. Movies are incredible, the bass from the subwoofer literally shakes the room in some instances. I only use the sound bar remote for changing the auto sound settings (movies, sports, etc.), and I love that it has these auto options so that I don’t need to adjust every time I change the input. There’s also the ability to save up to 2 different settings, including volume, as “favorites”, if you will, which is a huge convenience. Definitely recommend this brand and product!

Great sound, but ARC and remote issues
||Posted .This sound bar has great surround sound. We continue to have trouble using ARC HDMI with our Visio television - the sound bar connects, but loses connection each time the TV is turned off. Help docs on the Nakamichi site for Visio TVs do not align with the setup options of my TV model, so it's a slight inconvenience each time we turn on the TV. Also, after about a month and a half, the remote stopped working the sound bar unless you are about 1 foot away. We had no issues being farther away until all of the sudden it decided to stop working. Yes, we changed the batteries and it didn't change anything. Overall, the sound bar does a great job as far as sound goes. I know many other brands have some compatibility issues with Visio TVs, so that's not a surprise, but the remote crapping out after a month and a half? That's disappointing at this price.

Great soundbar system.
||Posted .Have had the Nakamichi Soundwafe Pro 7.1 system for 11 days now, and I am very satisfied with it. The clear voice function is excellent. I'ts nice to here the actors speaking even with a lot of background noise. Has plenty of overall power, but the 2 rear speakers are not powerful enough to overcome the soundbar itself unless you turn them all the way up.Took a few days to get use to the remote, lots of buttons with small print!! Cannot beat it for the price.

Very good sound bar system
||Posted .Owned for 11 months when reviewed.Had been trying to solve the rear system connection issue with my old receiver when I moved to my new house. Tried other wireless rear speakers system connector before but no good. Later I found this soundbar system with wirelss subwoofer and 2 two-way rear speakers system. It solved my problem with an excellent sound quality. Also save a lot of space for all the center, left and right speakers and the receiver that I had before. The sound bar serves all these purposes with superb sound quality. Highly recommended. They have a new verion as well.

Excellent Surround Sound
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. We've had this surround sound system a little over a month. WOW!! It is fabulous! We have it connected to our 65" Sony Bravia TV and it provides very high-quality surround sound to our medium-size living room. We have the rear speakers mounted on a stand, and we love being surrounded by our movies now. Also, music is divine. I'm not writing a technical review, but you cannot go wrong with this system. It takes awhile to get everything set the way you like; however, once that is done, you will love everything about this system. When I tell Alexa to turn on my TV, she turns on the Nakamichi because I have the TV sound output set to external speakers. When I tell her to turn off the TV, she puts the SS system into standby mode. Love it, love it, love it!!

Amazing sound!
||Posted .This setup has the whole range- from eardrum burstingly loud and obnoxious to subtle enough that my wife can sleep soundly while I can still hear the tv clearly. She was so mad when I brought this sucker into our bedroom, but now after a month I've offered to move it to the living room and she said no. Most definitely worth every penny!

My First Soundbar
||Posted .This is my first soundbar. I was hoping for a bit more volume. Quality of the sound is great. It would be nice for BestBuy to have floor samples to compare to the brands they do have on the floor.

Q: QuestionCan I use speakers that I have installed in my ceiling rather than the included rear channel speakers?
Asked by SeattleStephen.
- A:Answer If your ceiling speakers can be powered by standard RCA cables, they will be able to be connected to the subwoofer.
Answered by Nakamichi Support
Q: QuestionAre the rear speakers wireless or do they have a cable that connects to the subwoofer? Also is this unit DOLBY ATMOS ready or does it need a firmware update?
Asked by Gato.
- A:Answer The subwoofer is wireless and the rear speakers plug into the subwoofer with the included RCA plugs and wire. The firmware comes out next week making it Dolby Atmos capable.

Q: QuestionIs the 7.2 still available? If not,, can you buy an additional bass speaker to add to the 7.1? Would the 7.1 accept the two basses? Would it work? Thanks, Bob.
Asked by Bob.
- A:Answer sadly, you cannot add a second subwoofer to the 7.1. you need to get the 7.2 model instead.

Q: QuestionIs this the 2018 or the 2019 version? I believe the only physical difference is in the remote itself.
Asked by Kyle.
- A:Answer It's the 2019 version, I know this because I received the firmware update that made it ATMOS ready! Sounds awesome!

Q: QuestionDoes anyone know the 4 digit code so I can use the Dish network remote to control the volume with the Pro 7.1 DTX system? Dish doesn't know it and I've waited 2 days for a reply from Nakamichi. Thanks
Asked by YPDBob.
- A:Answer Did you ever figure it out? I was able to “teach” one volume button (up) but not the second one (down). Need the code as well to fully integrate the controls.

Q: QuestionNote from their website mentions that there will be Firmware upgrade with DOLBY ATMOS, TRUEHD, DD+, DOLBY VISION & Nakamichi state of the art Spatial Surround Elevation processing technology. Do you know how will it work? Buy it and upgrade later?
Asked by Twowu.
- A:Answer You buy the soundbar system, the directions tell you step by step what brand and size of USB to use to download the firmware update, then you unzip it, and install it into the back of the soundbar itself. It is very specific about brand, size and it must be USB 2. I don't remember the details, but it tells you specifically on their website.
