I recommend this game, but it doesn't compare to NFSU2 or NFSMW. The cars are sweet (new Lancer EVO, Challanger concept, the old Charger R/T, Porsche Carrera GT, and many more). However, this game came out right around the same time that Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift did. I think that was the inspiration for some of the mountain drift & race events. So it seems like EA got carried away with the drift-style controls. It seems like almost everytime you make a turn, you're drifting, which is not always a good thing.
.
The Autosculpt feature was a new invention in this release which was a cool idea, but I only used it for muslcecar hoods, and (occasionally) exhaust tips and wheels. Otherwise, the autosculpt feature was somewhat dissapointing.
.
I found the menus to be especially annoying too. When you select one thing, take a look at it and go back, it puts you back at the original spot in the menu, not where you left off. So when you're looking through 100+ wheels, having to remember where you were in the list, and scrolling through all that again can be painful.
.
There are a couple races in the challenge series that are REALLY tough and to collect all the rewards cars, you actually have to lose the game (google it to find out how to do this) which I thought was a weird concept. This release is 10x better than ProStreet, so buy this one (or borrow it, because your buddy won't be using it), beat it once, then go back to Most Wanted.

Now I really like cars and I really like Need for Speed. This didn't really wow me. This game is plain and simply fun. It could have been further, a step further than last time instead, it felt like an add-on to the previous Need for Speed, Most Wanted. A few changes I saw were the amount of cars grew alot, the police got stupider in comparison to the fun and hard to get away from cops in Most Wanted, and Autosculpt is probably the big step EA did to the series. If you like drifting, making moves with your car, customizing, and Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift, this is a good game. If you love free roam this is the last stop for it becuase Pro Street will not have it. But with Pro Street out I would recomend you would get Pro Street and skip this.

i really enjoy this game. The drift action and pretty much everything is awesome. Autosculpting parts is a great feature. I also love all the cars that they have added. The storyline was pretty interesting. the only downfall was that unlike nfs underground 2, it is missing the instant replays and i miss that. Otherwise Great GAME!

definitely a great title, the performance customization of cars makes it easier to play to your specific style, and the selection of cars, and the visual customizations offers a wide variety of selections to make ur dream car, and many unique ones to boot.

Well let me start by saying this was a great game. Loved the graphics and such however; some of the events are far too hard. Drifter for example is substantially hard in this game. You need to rack up alot of points very quickly in order to take the lead and hold onto it. I also was not pleased with the vinyl graphics we have to choose from. The looked the same as the ones in NFS Underground 1 and 2 etc. But over all i would sitll give it a 5.

This installment of the NFS series is definitely one of the best racing games out there. Being able to drive all around the city, getting chased by the police is fun in itself. The racing is amazing, with so many fun race types. Car customization is the best ever, everything from the color of your car to how wide your spoiler is. I highly recommend this game to any one who is looking for a great game to play.
