Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Range, Set up, SpeedCons mentioned:ConnectionI don’t normally take the time to write reviews but I felt it was necessary, especially considering for those looking to purchase this as there’s not much information on it yet. First, setup is super easy. Can be done from your phone, or PC. After getting it setup I tested range and speed after connecting all devices. I must say I’m impressed. I only have the 100mbps plan from spectrum but consistently averaged around 117mbps. Never came close to that on my old modem/router combo. Yes it was aged and outdated. However I purchased many routers. Different brands, different models. None were acceptable. Returned them all. While I had a decent speed I had the same range problem. With my bedroom being at the far end of where my router is placed I’d be lucky to get 10mbps. Netflix and Hulu were a nightmare trying to watch. Constantly buffering or losing connection. With all failed attempts I gave up. That is until WiFi 6 routers started hitting the market. Being a Netgear fan and not wanting one that looked like a space ship I decided to give it a shot once this entry level router was released. Very impressed so far. Even with multiple devices connected and being used I managed to still pull around 110mbps in the far bedroom. Finally I found a router with great speed and range. So far my iPhone 11 Pro is my only device that supports WiFi 6. I do plan on upgrading the WiFi card in my 2019 ThinkPad for future use. Overall I’m satisfied and very pleased. My only complaint is the price, but that’s expected with new technology. So if you’re looking for an entry level WiFi 6 router with a traditional design this is the one. Highly recommend.

Quality4 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Pros mentioned:SpeedI got this router because my previous setup was unable to reach the 400mbps download / 20mbps upload I upgraded to. This router gets 400-460/20-24 consistently. But one issue I ran into that had me scratching my head for a while was while "Traffic Meter" was enabled the router was only able to manager 250-270mbps download. Disabling the feature brought speeds up by 200mbps, I wouldn't think monitoring how much data passes through should have such an impact on the throughput so I hope netgear sorts this out in future firmware releases. I have the RAX20 connected to a Nighthawk Mesh X6S Tri-Band Extender and have had great results. I'm not sure what the expected throughput is for AC transfers but I get 270mbps on the 5Ghz network. I was hoping for faster but I'm assuming my laptop is the bottleneck here. The WNIC in my laptop is a RTL8821CE (Wifi 5 / AC) so I have no input on how the Wifi 6 (AX) performs.

Quality5 out of 5Value2 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I am having issues with my internet connection being slow or dropping signal often. I don't know if it is the WiFi router or our internet company telcom. I am told that Telcom is the problem so I think it may be the internet company why I gave this a four star.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5I needed this because of all my smart devices that have increased in my household. I haven't had any problems with it so far. The only con is that if my power goes out, you have to push the button physically to turn it back on. I never had to do that with the other ones I've had but besides that it's worth the buy.

Q: Questionwhat type of usb port dose it got? and is it a good solid router ? is it better than rax15 and by how much?
Asked by scooter.
- A:Answer It has 5 Ethernet ports, 1 in 4 out. It also has one USB 3.0 port. I am extremely happy with this router. I play a lot of Modern Warfare and do a lot of Netflix streaming at the same time and have yet to have any bandwidth issues. I’m also on Spectrums cheapest internet plan. For the price this router will do everything you need.

Q: QuestionWhat’s the difference between the rax15 and the rax20? Also, where is it made?
Asked by J1Bs.
- A:Answer According to the Netgear website, the Rax15 has a USB 3.0 port. The Rax20 does not. I do not know where they are made.

Q: QuestionDoes this model have a compatible range extender?
Asked by Naga.
- A:Answer Yes! I actually first bought Netgear's AX1800 EAX20 Dual Band 4-Stream Mesh Extender to use with the Arris TM1602 modem supplied by Spectrum Internet. It provided an excellent signal to the opposite end of our 2,200 square-foot home where the TV streams movies over Roku. But we still weren't able to watch HBO MAX without it kicking out several times. So I decided to upgrade to the Netgear AX 1800 RAX20 WiFi Router, which Best Buy said would be compatible with the extender. But the router performs so well, I haven't had to use the extender. (Also bought a new Roku Ultra, which upgraded one we purchased years ago. It has better range, and I think the combo of the new router and new Roku solved our streaming problems.)
