A Hidden Gem
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not many people use these types of devices, but for what it’s worth, it makes a satisfying and compelling case for why it exists. Why did I buy it? My situation was that even though I have 200mbs down, and 30ms ping times in games, my wifi would cause horrible stutter in online games, while the rest of the internet, streaming, downloading etc is completely fine. So how do I fix this issue without having to either rope a 100ft cable through my home, or buy a $500 new wifi 6 router? The Answer: Netgear Powerline Adapter I plugged one powerline adapter into my room, and attached the ethernet cord to my PC. Plugged the second one into the outlet where my Router is, and connected the ethernet cord from the router into the powerline adapter. Once you hit the sync button it takes care of itself and creates a new wired network through your home’s electrical wiring and I no longer have any stuttering. All of my problems have vanished with this new method and I couldn’t be more satisfied, more people should use these devices, they are simple and easy to install, 3 minutes tops if you follow directions, seriously.

Awesome option for hardwiring network devices.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product was recommended to me by a professional home audio/home theater installer. I researched the Powerline products thoroughly before purchasing. I am completely satisfied with these units. I've used them to hardwire (Ethernet cable) several formerly WiFi streaming devices located throughout my home and garage. I've had no issues whatsoever. Highly Recommended!

Netgear
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was really slow for me. It could have been my actual service, but even wifi worked better. I do like that you get two ethernet plug ins, and another outlet, but I would just stick to wifi or direct ethernet instead.

Ps5 saver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My ps5 absolutely hates CenturyLink (me too especially since dsl is the only option in my area) Games would ping 2-300 constantly with 10mbps and under download speeds. Even had to take it to a friends house just to get things downloaded/ updated. My series X never had this issue and would regularly get 50mbps download speeds and stay under 100ping so I figured to give this device a shot hearing the mixed reviews. It truly saved me from running cat6 cords through the attic just to use the device online. Can actually download and play games with low latency and not worry about any jitter (ping stays under 100 now). Set up was extremely easy truly a plug and play device. Would recommend this over any “Wi-Fi extender”

Purchase your ISPs wifi extender and not this.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 2GB internet speeds with ethernet. I thought this would be a good fix inster of having to purchase xFi pods. Turns out i was extremely wrong. I put photos of an internet speed test with ethernet, and with Wifi. Im calling cap on the "green > 80 mbps (best)". I think the user manual may just have a typo, and the 0s weren't meant to to be there. That would at least make sense getting only a 7 mbps upload speed.

Bye crappy wifi
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WIFI is unreliable, if you notice that your smart TV buffers a lot or your video game is laggy get one of these and connect your devices with ethernet, and kiss goodbye to random disconnections and slowdowns. These are pretty much plug and play, so I can't get easier to install. Just don't put them in a power strip, connect them directly to the wall.

Q: QuestionCan you pair more than the two? So if you bought two sets of these and put 1 connected to the router and the other 3 in different areas in your house for wired connectivity could the other 3 be paired to the one connected to the router?
Asked by LF.
- A:Answer Yes you can. I have a similar configuration in my home...one by my router which I was able to pair up with the others at different locations in my home (very easy to do...just follow the instruction given on pairing with the other powelines).

Q: QuestionQuestions: I have a router for my Internet. Does this have to be plugged into it? If the router is plugged in, if I plug the other Powerline into a room where I want faster WiFi, will it automatically make all devices in that room faster?
Asked by DiviAruba.
- A:Answer You have to plug one device into your router and then insert that same device into a nearby electrical outlet. Then you can plug the other device in a basement or any other rooms electrical outlet. This enables you to have a hardwired connection in the room you choose which is faster than WiFi, you are essentially connecting the second device directly to your router by using your existing electrical wiring throughout your home. Works great, I used mine to connect a smart TV directly to my router.

Q: QuestionI have a 3000 Sq feet home with a electrical box that looks like has 2 sections (Sorry about possibly wrong terminology). My understanding the outlets need to be on the same box. How do I test that?
Asked by Dob3rm4n.
- A:Answer Unless your house has 2 services/meters...You should be fine...

Q: QuestionI have an outbuilding about 20 feet from my house that does not get any type of reception. If I plug one receiver in my house and the other in the garage do I need to get another router to get WiFi or will the receiver provide a signal?
Asked by Ajw37.
- A:Answer First: the outbuilding and the house MUST be on the same circuit breaker panel or this pair will not work. Make sure that the outbuilding does not have its own feed directly from the power company (which would mean that it has its own meter, too). If you are on the same breaker panel... then, yes, you would need a separate WiFi access point for the remote end. This unit provides a wired Ethernet port on the remote end, not a WiFi connection. There are setups that do what you are asking about... they are "WiFi extenders over power line."

Q: QuestionHow far into my electrical network will this work? All the way to the meter or will it only go to the extent of the house circuit breaker box? I have an outbuilding that shares my meter but has it's own breaker box.
Asked by rowlbar.
- A:Answer I have a garage over 100’ from my house where we ran 100amp service to a new box and these worked awesome! I was very skeptical but these are amazing and I can’t believe they would have worked so well considering how far away the electrical outlets were apart (and in two different buildings) which shares the same overhead feed.

Q: QuestionWill this work with the Powerline 1000?
Asked by Buffarillo.
- A:Answer Looks like yes, but apparently they will all work on the same speed as the slowest one on the network according to what I found online

Q: QuestionDoes this need any ethernet from the router into the outlet, or just plug it into the outlet and go? If that is the case how do you connect to the router?
Asked by Landon.
- A:Answer You run an ethernet cable from your internet source router to the 1st powerline pod. Then plug the pod it in the wall. Run an ethernet cable from your device (computer, game, Roku ...) to the 2nd Pod. Then plug the 2nd pod in the wall in another room. Your device is now wired with fast ethernet.

Q: QuestionWill this increase my download speed for my computer because I’m only running like 5mps for my download speed because I’m not wired so will this Ethernet power like adapter make it fast
Asked by Nick.
- A:Answer Only as fast as the download speed that your internet service provider gives your account. You should upgrade to a faster service that most ISP's like Comcast or Verizon can provide for you. Of course you pay more, but if it's speed that you need . . . . . .
