A: Bigger size also price difference. It was one of the best appliances I have ever purchased. We have used it at least 10 times in the month we have had it. Also the old saying go big go home. You can make larger quantities of food with the 8qt. Last note- make sure you check everywhere because best buy has a great price match policy. I saved 80-100 off the larger one.

A: I don’t have anything to measure with but looking down on top of it I would guess about 13-14 inches in circumference. But if you are looking at it from the side the handles add a couple of inches to either side. It’s big. But I love this appliance because you can cook and then crisp your food in one pot.
