Really nice case... not overly fat/thick/heavy but is plenty strong in right places for protection. Make sure you are committing/ed to MagSafe... as the case prevents using power cord unless you pop lower end of phone out of the case to then have free access to the power port.

The OtterBox Commuter case is the only case I ever buy for my phone. The outer shell is tough and protective. It has the right amount of grip without trying to turn my pocket inside out when pulled out. The raised lip above the screen surface is excellent. The inner soft case protects the device and doesn’t lift corners of my edge to edge screen protectors. The entire case design is easy to put on and take off for cleaning. Unlike most other cases, the covered charging port doesn’t cut into my finger when I hold the device with one hand. Magnetic chargers work well, but mat-style induction chargers like those in cars don’t work so well if the device can be jostled around, losing connection. That and general bulkiness are the trade-offs for overall near perfection with this case. Some might prefer different colors or materials, but the case is a great canvas for stickers. Sale pricing frequently makes this case a great deal.

This product is definitely a bargain for what it was being offered at with Best Buy. Most other cases were $20-30 difference to it. The quality on most other cases after physically being able to analyze them felt cheaper quality for a similar functionality. Though I will say the inner rubber casing doesn’t feel super high quality the harder outer shell definitely makes up for it. It adds on a bit of weight to the phone however not the worst quality of this phone case by any means. I can confidently say that it is in most cases far superior to other makes and models. It is one of the more secure, comfortable to hold, and slip resistant cases I’ve had in a while. Simple, sleek, and reliable. Can you really ask for more out of a case? 4/5 the design is simplistic, rubber lining is off in some areas, and a little annoying to take off and place back onto the phone.

This Otterbox Hard Shell is perhaps the best phone protector I have ever had. This cover provides all the protection without the bulk or weight seen in other phone protectors. I also like that it is offered in various colors that allow for distinctive quick recognition when around other phones. My hope is that this design is continued throughout the series of cell phones as they are released in different sizes and shapes so I can rest assured there will always be a worry-free protection for the phone investment.
