A: So you have the basic plastic case you put your phone into a bottom piece that goes on the back of the phone the the top plastic piece which is just plastic around the edge which has the "thermal clear membrane" fancy way of saying plastic screen protector, attached to it, those two pieces snap together, they hold together really well too. Then you have the "silicone skin" which is just that, it is a silicone cover that you put over the back side of the phone and it helps insure that the plastic stays intact, and helps absorb any impact so there's no damage to your phone
