What is Shop with Points for statement credits?

Shop with Points for statement credits (previously called Pay With Points) is a Best Buy program that allows you to use your Citi® ThankYou Points to cover all or part of your purchases on BestBuy.com with a statement credit when paying with your eligible Citi credit card.

What can I buy using Shop with Points for statement credits?

You can buy anything on BestBuy.com using Shop with Points for statement credits except e-gift cards.

How do I use ThankYou Points to cover my BestBuy.com purchase?

If you have an eligible Citi credit card that participates in ThankYou Rewards, you can use your points to cover all or a portion of your order total on BestBuy.com with a statement credit to your eligible Citi credit card

When you use Shop with Points for statement credits:

  1. Your eligible Citi credit card is charged the entire amount of the purchase at BestBuy.com.
  2. The number of points you redeem is deducted from your ThankYou member account at the time of purchase.
  3. The corresponding statement credit will post to your Citi credit card account within 2–3 business days of redemption.

Can I apply promotional codes and other types of discounts to my Shop with Points for statement credits order?

Yes, you may apply other forms of eligible payments to your order, including promotional codes, savings codes, My Best Buy reward certificates, and gift cards.

Can I combine points from multiple cards to pay for my order?

No, points from multiple cards cannot be used for a single order at this time.

Is there a fee for using the Shop with Points for statement credits program?

No, there is no fee for using the Shop with Points for statement credits on BestBuy.com.

How do I know if my Citi credit card is eligible for Shop with Points for statement credits?

To participate, you must have a consumer or small business Citi credit card that participates in ThankYou Rewards, is active, and in good standing. Eligible Citi cards include Citi Prestige Card, Citi Premier Card, Citi ThankYou Preferred Card, Citi Chairman American Express Card, Citi Forward Card, CitiBusiness ThankYou Card, Citi PremierPass/Expedia Card, AT&T Cards, and all other participating Citi credit cards with available ThankYou Points. Shop with Points for statement credits is not currently available for Citi Corporate Travel and Entertainment cards.

Are authorized users on my Citi credit card account that participates in ThankYou Rewards able to use Shop with Points for statement credits?

Yes. Because the credit card number is used to make the purchase and access the points, authorized users on an eligible account can use Shop with Points for statement credits.

I am having problems setting up my eligible Citi credit card to use Shop with Points for statement credits. What should I do?

Please ensure that you have an eligible Citi credit card that participates in ThankYou Rewards. For details about your specific ThankYou member account, please contact ThankYou Rewards by calling 1-800-THANKYOU (1-800-842-6596). In the event you received a service error message, please try to place your order again later.

How can I check to see how many ThankYou Points I have?

You can check your available ThankYou Points balance by clicking on the See Points Balance button during checkout, which will enable Citi to share your ThankYou Points balance with Best Buy.

I don't have enough ThankYou Points to pay for my entire order. How will I be charged if I complete the transaction?

Whether you use ThankYou Points to cover all or a portion of your order, your eligible Citi credit card will be charged for the entire order. The amount of ThankYou Points selected at checkout will appear as a statement credit on your eligible card account within 2–3 business days of your purchase. If there are no ThankYou Points available for redemption at the time your Shop with Points for statement credits transaction is processed, no statement credit will be issued.

When will I receive my statement credit?

You will receive a statement credit on your Citi credit card for the dollar amount of points used within 2–3 business days of your purchase, however, the purchase and statement credit may appear in different billing cycles.

How do I get ThankYou Points added back into my ThankYou member account on canceled or returned orders?

If you cancel or return a Shop with Points for statement credits order, Best Buy will refund the corresponding dollar amount of the purchase to the Citi credit card you used. Once your points are applied as a statement credit and deducted from your point bank, they cannot be returned to your ThankYou member account. No action is required in order for the statement credit to be applied, but if you have any questions please contact ThankYou Rewards by calling 1-800-THANKYOU (1-800-842-6596).

Can I use Shop with Points for statement credits if I do not have sufficient credit available on my Citi credit card to make the purchase?

No. Because your Citi credit card will be charged for the entire order, you must have sufficient credit available for your purchase in order to use Shop with Points for statement credits. The Purchase transactions will be subject to the terms of your Card Agreement with Citi, and may be subject to interest.

Am I still required to make the minimum payment on my Citi credit card if I use Shop with Points for statement credits?

Yes. The minimum amount due reflected on your Citi credit card statement must be paid in accordance with your Card Agreement with Citi.

How do I view the transaction history and statement credit for my Shop with Points for statement credits transactions on ThankYou.com?

You can view your points for statement credit transaction history to see the points activity on your ThankYou member account by visiting ThankYou.com and navigating to My Order History. You can see the corresponding statement credit on your monthly Citi credit card statement. Please note that the BestBuy.com purchase and corresponding statement credits may appear in different statement cycles.
