Comparable to Sonic DiamondClean
Posted .I had Sonicare DiamondCare, but it stopped working right after 2 year warranty expired. I feel like I do want to invest a couple of hundred dollars every two years for DiamondCare anymore not to mention I have to replace brush heads every 3 months. Only downside of Plaque Control 2 is the movement is not as strong as DiamondCare. All in all I like Plaque Control 2 especially its price. The good thing is it is compatible with DiamondClean brush head.

Squeaky Clean
Posted .Hello. Just to make this brief and get to the point, I also have a WaterPik. A Percocet from Best Buy but when ever I don't have time for a good long playing Road, are you this sonic toothbrush. I love it. You can feel the difference and auto timer really comes in handy. I need every morning and Afternoon. I highly recommend this. It is afford and you get the clean that you would with a higher priced one. You will DEFINITELY feel the difference over a standard toothbrush. Thanks for reading this.

Good value, but takes getting used to
|Posted .I saw this toothbrush advertised on sale at Best Buy, and I was in the market for a new rechargeable brush. I had an Oral-B rechargeable brush for 5+ years, until it wouldn't fully charge anymore. The major difference between the Sonicare and Oral-B brushes is that the Sonicare uses pulsing/vibration, while Oral-B's brush spins. It took some getting used to with the Sonicare brush, because I thought the Oral-B brush did a fantastic job cleaning away stuff not only on my teeth, but stuff in between them as well. My Sonicare isn't Philips' top of the line rechargeable brush, so while it cleans my teeth just fine, it doesn't really get in between my teeth. It just means I have to floss more, but that's okay. I do like the built in timer on the Sonicare, which automatically shuts the brush off after two minutes, though I almost always opt to turn it on again and brush for an additional two minutes.

Best Yet
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI’ve bought Oral B rechargeable for myself and family for six or eight years, and believe that was an improvement over manual brushing. The battery in the Oral B rechargeable does drop off after 12-16 months even with proper charging, which does result in a decrease in brushhead revolutions. Based on descriptions and reviews here and elsewhere I decided to try the Sonicare 2 for myself and two additional for my daughters. The difference compared with the Oral B is immediate and substantial. On first use my teeth felt extremely clean and smooth. The bottom line important aspect, cleaning, is superior to the Oral B and manual brushing. Yet it’s not harsh on the gums and teeth at all, quite gentle with little pressure required. It is very affordable, and the other models with wifi or bluetooth connection at $200 are just silly compared to the Sonicare 2 at the $39 range. After charging the battery completely overnight, I used it 3-4 minutes a day for two weeks without putting on the charger, with no noticeable drop off. On a trip of up to 7-10 days there would be no need to pack the small charging base and cord. Very very pleased with this model and its price is very worthwhile. My daughters had the same feedback with their brushes. You can have a great rechargeable that provides superb cleaning without spending $200 or more for needless doodads that provide no better cleaning.

Excellent toothbrush
|Posted .I've used a Sonicare toothbrush since they first came out. There is nothing on the market that is better. As a dental hygienist I've always recommended them to my patients. The brushes have only improved over the years. I was hesitant to purchase a lower end model but it still does an excellent job. As long as the brush has a timer that's all you really need. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Cheaper in ways you'll notice
|Posted .It does the job, but as a replacement for a more expensive Sonicare model which died after several years of use, I noticed the following: - It does rattle-- like other reviewers noted-- when you use it (though oddly, only when you actually start to brush) unlike the more expensive model which just seemed to hum. It seems that the rattling is using energy that should be directed to the brush head instead, so I suspect it isn't doing as great a job of cleaning. - The handle is also a bit thicker, which doesn't make a huge difference in usability but I find myself inadvertently switching it off during brushing. This didn't happen with my older model and may have something to do with the way my fingers hit the thicker handle. Overall I'm disappointed (and reminded every day how cheap I was in choosing it over the more $$ model) but will keep using it eventually until it dies.
