Q: How do you take this off the lens?? I tried a filter remover but it did not work.
A: It unscrews like any other filter...but...you have to remember to hold the ring closest to the lens, not the knurled ring that is used to control the polarizing effect...good luck
A: This is an "Ultra - Thin Profile" circular polarizer which would be a good choice for your camera, using a 40.5mm lens. The entire circular polarizer unit is approximately 7 mm thick. The threaded base mount which would screw into your (camera) lens is approximately 4 mm thick. The rotating bezel which contains the circular polarizer lens is approximately 3 mm thick. These measurements are approximate and probably on the high side because I did not have a vernier caliper handy, so I measured it with a steel rule. I rather doubt that you could find a circular polarizer any thinner than this unit.
