Great card, amazing price for a 3070

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Design, PriceGreat 2 slot, 2 fan card. PNY is offering probably the closest to the FE model for the 3070, which can be good and bad. The good is the pricing is great, and this has a very solid cooling design that kept my card perfectly cool throughout everything. That includes running 1440p at 165hz with High or Ultra settings, and driving 2 or 3 displays. The bad is that it will offer the least OC headroom, and there are rumors that PNY is using inferior parts for things like the cooling fans or some of the power delivery portion of the card. I haven't noticed anything like that, but there is a reason this is $540 (the price of some 3060 ti's) and not $750 (the price of some 3080's). That said, this card offers great performance, and an even better value, if you are not able to find the 3070 FE.

A Pleasant Suprise

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:DesignHonestly, I only bought this because it was the only 3000 series card available after many attempts, but I have been very pleasantly surprised by its quality. It uses the Nvidia 12 pin, which people complain about, but it comes with the dual 8 pin adapter and the resulting power delivery seems excellent. Furthermore, this allows for some solid overclocking. I also thought the dial fan setuip would hamper its ability to stay cool, but the beefy 2.9 slot cooler design keeps the card ay 65 C with a healthy overclock and full load. Very nice little card!

Q: QuestionWhy did the price go way up? It was $499....
Asked by robb.
- A:Answer it s a second hand or a oc card NVIDIA sells the said card to other tech manufacturers and the apply there own "over clocking" and special designs to the card and sell it a higher price for a profit

Q: QuestionIs this a 2 slot card or 2.5 slot?
Asked by Twan.
- A:Answer It's actually more like a 2.9 slot. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the cooling apparatus has some very beefy heat pipes and fins that effectively make it a 2.9 slot design. It also has an airflow passthrough on the back which is pictured, but altogether the cooling system keeps this card quite cool despite only being a dual fan set up.

Q: Questionwhy is this more than the Founders Edition? This card should be no more than $499
Asked by Twan.
- A:Answer This is an Add-in-Board (AIB) Partners card, i.e. a card made with the same GPU but with certain differences over the based reference (founder's edition) model. Usually this means better cooling than the reference design to support overclocking better
