Q: do humidifiers stop static shock

A: We cannot guarantee that the use of a humidifier will stop static shock, however putting more moisture into the air should help with that.

Q: Does this plug into an electrical outlet? How long is the cord?

A: Yes, it plugs in to electrical outlet. The cord is 5ft long.

Q: what is the capacity? 1liter or 1/2 ?

A: Idk exact capacity but its really small and I have to fill twice a day.....

Q: does the above humidifier only contain water visible in the blue tank, or does water go below, into the white portion? Is the blue tank removable, for water-filling? Does water sink below, into the white portion, or just remain in the clear tank?

A: I have an older model but it looks relatively the same. Some water does go into the white area in a specific place...not the whole bottom. You take the blue part (top) off, turn it over and there is a knob to open it up to fill/refill. Replace the knob, turn it over and put it on the stand. You can turn it over and/or remove the top without leaking water. If it gets to a point that it's not producing a mist, take the top off, empty out any water in the white (bottom) part, replace the top. A few bubbles should come from the bottom into the top where that green "pop up" is. Turn it back on and it should work for you.

Q: do these humidifiers need filters? if so what is the average cost of filter?

A: The units do not require filters for operation. If you have hard water and develop a white dust on your furniture we suggest using distilled water or purchasing a filter. The average price of a filter is $14.99.

A: It's pretty simple cleaning it..states to use soap & water....
