Removing mineral deposits • Mineral deposits in tap water may cause the kettle interior to discolor or “scale.” To remove this build-up, use non-toxic liquid de-scaler or tea scale cleaning tablets. -or1 Fill your kettle with three cups of white vinegar and the remainder with water and let it stand overnight. Do not boil. 2 Empty the solution from your kettle. Remove remaining stains with a damp cloth. 3 Boil two full kettles of water, then discard the water. Cleaning the outside • Wipe the outside of your kettle and heating base with a damp cloth or sponge.
