• I damaged the screen on my ASUS laptop and was able to purchase a new screen (screen only...) on EBAY (just search for the correct size you need along with info on the laptops product number) and was able to replace it on my own (with help from Youtube videos on how to replace screen) for WAY under the cost of a new computer. Try that route first and good luck.

• It probably cheaper to buy a new laptop. These HP are extremely cheap devices. Hopefully you got the accidental damage which would cover the damaged screen....but it doesn't sound like it. Goooood Luck buddy
