As a professional photographer, I tend to run Photoshop and light room out of my MacBook Pro. We own this computer mostly to handle QuickBooks for billing our clients. However, the specs seem robust enough to handle those two programs. I would probably not run PremierePro or AfterEffects on a computer with such low ram, but anything dealing with still photography Should be fine for this laptop. Hope that helps!
