Q: QuestionHi, does the Geek Squad Protection cover issues with TV backlight going out leaving a blank or black screen? How would this work with a 50"+ TV? I'm assuming I wouldn't have to load up the TV to take it back Bestbuy?

• A:Answer Great question, and thank you for taking the time to ask us! Our Protection Plans run in parallel with the manufacturers warranty, and does start at the time of purchase. Should there be a manufacturing defect, some manufacturers allow Best Buy to fulfill their warranty. Normally speaking, the first year should double covered with most brands, so to speak, but any additional years outside of the manufacturers warranty would need to be covered by a Geek Squad Protection plan for assistance from Best Buy!
