I have had this tv for about 1 month now, and I consistently have the volume up high (70-80) and I have not had any problem with sound quality.

Nope! Good size speakers than don't have the "tinny" sound on some TVs. (and no hum unless to turn volume to full loud)

No, there is no hum. The sound is actually pretty decent for a small TV.
