“why do I have to rescan all cable channel during EVERY power outage i bought numerous of these tvs.. every time power goes out, i have to rescan for cable channels... my other tvs haven't done that before... please help!!”

I have not had any problems with that at all. We get power outages all the time. I would contact your cable company.
