720P. But, with this size of picture you don't need the high resolution of 1080P when sitting at a comfortable distance. You really can't tell the difference with this size screen.

Considering that the vast majority of cable and satellite TV programs are in 1080i or 720p of which 720p has the superior picture quality due to fact that 1080i is 540 lies interlaced that is what the "i" stands for, 720p on the other hand is 720 individual lines of resolution. Both standards provide excellent quality on smaller sets.
