• Use the pic size settings to fill the screen and the aspect buttons on your cable or satellite remote

• Using your remote, press "Menu" then press "Picture." Select "Advanced Settings" onscreen and go to "Aspect Ratio." The entry "Auto" instructs the TV to take cues from the broadcast signal to adjust the ratio to fit the TV without distortion. There are other settings when you press "Aspect Ratio" if you want to play around. Good luck.
